ALISTAIR TAYLOR

In 1961, Alistair Taylor was an underling at the Epstein family's NEMS store. On the day Epstein made his visit to the Cavern Club, he thought he would look more impressive if he was accompanied by a personal assistant. Taylor was recruited for the job. Soon thereafter, Taylor acted as witness in the signing of Epstein's contract with the Beatles.

With Epstein's death and the formation of Apple Corps, Taylor was appointed Apple's office manager and chief fixer. In 1969 he became one of many long standing Beatle associates to be dismissed as a result of Allen Klein's effort to reorganise the corporation along more profitable lines.
