SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO LENNON

Craig Tugwell has seen a lot of Beatle crazy fans in his six years playing in a fab four tribute band.

His favourite was the fan who raced to the front row and yelled out "Oi boys!' and ripped his shirt open.

"Buttons flew everywhere," Tugwell said, "and he's got the four faces of the Beatles tattooed on his chest from the Let It Be album."

Fans go to extraordinary lengths to prove their devotion to John, George, Ringo and Paul, said Tugwell, who describes himself as "a fan, not a fanatic".

If the suit fits: Beatal Max Fredericks with John Lennon's jacket in 'Help!'Tonight on the 20th anniversary of John Lennon's death, Tugwell's band the Beatals will show Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr's original Sgt Pepper outfits before they play at the Palais Theatre in St Kilda.
