OH, YOKO!

Sir Paul McCartney has launched a scathing attack on John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono. The former Beatle spoke of his disappointment that Yoko refused to allow his name to go first on the song "Yesterday". The 1965 classic, which was written by Paul in tribute of his mother, who died of cancer, has always been attributed to the Lennon-McCartney songwriting partnership. Sir Paul said he tried to get Yoko to reverse the names when the Beatles Anthology - a book written by the surviving members of the group - came out last October. "I asked as a favour if I could have my name before John's on the Anthology credits for "Yesterday" and Yoko refused. I could question her but I'm a civil person and life isn't long enough. I'd prefer to walk in the park, have fun."
