Written by Paul and influenced by another popular American group of the 
time, the Lovin' Spoonful, who were enjoying their first hit in Britain, 
"Daydream", while the Beatles were recording Revolver.  Later, John 
Sebastian, leader of the Spoonful, would admit that it was seeing the 
Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show that had given him the inspiration to form a 
group.
