OH! DARLING
(Lennon-McCartney)
1969

Inspired by the doo-wop singer of the fifties, Paul "...came into the
studios early every day for a week to sing it by myself... I wanted to sound
as though I'd been performing all week." In spite of Paul's efforts, John
always thought he could've done a better job.

Oh darling please believe me, I'll never do you no harm
(Ah)
Believe when I tell you I'll never do you no harm
(Ah ah)
Oh darling if you leave me, I'll never make it alone
(Ooh ooh ah)
Believe when I beg you ooh don't every leave me alone
(Ah ah)

When you told me you didn't need me anymore
Well you know I nearly broke down and cried
When you told me you didn't need me anymore
Ah well you know I nearly broke down and died

Oh darling if you leave me, I'll never make it alone
(Ah)
Believe me when I tell you, I'll never do you no harm
(Ah ah)
Believe me darling

A-when you told me woo you didn't need me anymore
Well you know I nearly broke down and cried
When you told me you didn't need me anymore
Ah well you know I nearly broke down and died

Oh darling please believe me, I'll never let you down
(Ooh ooh ah)
Oh believe me darling, believe me when I tell you woo
(Ah ah)
I'll never do you no harm
(Ah)
