SHE CAME IN THROUGH THE BATHROOM WINDOW
(Lennon-McCartney)
1969

Written by Paul after his St John's Wood house had been broken into by one
of the many fans who would loiter outside. These hangers on would later
become immortalised as 'Apple Scruffs' on George's All Things Must Pass
album.

She came in through the bathroom window protectd by a silver spoon
(Ooh ah)
But now she sucks her thumb in wonder by the banks of her own lagoon
(Ah ooh)
Didn't anybody tell her didn't anybody see
Sundays on the phone to Monday, Tuesdays on the phone to me

She said she'd always been a dancer she worked at fifteen clubs a day
And though she thought I knew the answer well I knew what I could not say
And so I quite the p'lice department and got myself a steady job
(Ooh ah)
And though she tried her best to help me
(Ah ooh)
She could steal but she could not rob
(Ooh)
Didn't anybody tell her didn't anybody see
Sundays on the phone to Monday, Tuesdays on the phone to me oh yeah
