Morpheus Does Floyd

Guitarist/composer Mark Showalter has been busy in his private newly digitally equipped recording studio lately. Along with bassist Jerome Robinson, the duo, known as "Morpheus", has been busy recording
" View From Earth", Mark's latest composition. Joining Mark & Jerome onstage will be Orlando-based "electric-drummer" Bill Wuerfel. Bill and Mark have been together for some time as the band "Folkstone". In fact, Folkstone used to perform a "Floyd" set during their stint as park musicians at Lake Eola Park, in Orlando. Morpheus promises to deliver the entire Floyd experience, audibly. The only thing that will be missing from Morpheus' show's will be Floyd's visual effects. All of the sound effect's will however be present. In order to do this, Mark has spent countless hours sampling and recreating sound effects, such as the intro to "Money", "Wish You Were Here", and "On The Run", to name a few. Rumor has it, (although no one from the Morpheus-camp will verify or deny it) that the band intends on performing "Dark Side Of The Moon" ! Rehearsals have been closely guarded. No tapes have been released. No one outside of the band has even been invited to set foot in the studio. So we'll have to wait until official press release's to know what material the band intends to pull from Pink Floyd's catalog. We have received word that Morpheus is auditioning female vocalists, and is also seeking a sax player. If you'd like to tryout, you can contact Mark Showalter online via, "folkstone@bigplanet.com". Also, be sure to check out Mark's website, "http//members.delphi.com/folkstone" (where you can also connect to Thunder Communications and Jerome Robinson's websites). The first show's are scheduled to be around the end of August in Orlando. The band will then bring their show to the Ocala area. Thunder Communications has already been in negotiations with Bob Knowlen, concerning the use of K&K, so check there frequently for show time, and advance tickets.
