I'm at the library, aint that a kick in the head? Well, yesterday was certaintly a day I will remember for awhile. It's just one of those days...kind of a "Started-out-to-be-the-best-day-of-my-summer-and-ended-being-the-worst-day-of-my-life" kind of days. Y'ever have one? Sux, don't it? Let me explain. I went to Bumbershoot. I was excited, I was set up to see some great shows. The first dissapointment of the day was that the Violent Femmes do a crappy live show. I mean, hello! WAKE UP! But soon after I enjoyed some tasty Cake, which was great! They do a lovely live show. I went crazy, singin' along..."I just want to play on my panpipes. I just want to drink me some wine...Sheep go to heaven, goats go to Hell!" (Even tho everyone knows sheep go to New Zealand...). Then we went and caught the end of Pedro The Lion's show, which was pretty good. During that show we hooked up with Hannas, Trys, Lyndsay and some of their pals. Soon after, I was skankin' away to Engine 54, enjoying their rendition of "5446 thats my number". The day was pretty good so far. I saw my dear friend Katy, and Juleah, and some folks I hadn't seen all summer-Jami, Shawn, etc. I also got a chance to talk to a guy from my school, Jeff, when we headed over to the Pink Martini show, which was very entertaining (Je ne veux pas travailler...). During that show, we found Hannas, Lyndz, and Trys again, and also some of their friends. When we all moved away from the stage and crowd so we could dance, I met TC and Ryan, to delightful young men from somewhere far away I just can't seem to remember now...grr. Hanging out with them was wonderful fun. Not to mention TC looks like Heath Ledger! If you don't know who that is, or just don't know my stand on him yet, check out my Heath page, 0r, if you somehow didn't read it already, my entry about him. Anyway, so the days going great so far. We were all sitting on the grass by that huge fountain, talking and having fun. Sadly, we realized that we would soon have to leave. I was just thinking I should get TC and Ryan's e-mail addy's, and standing up, when I realized my backpack was gone. I started freaking out, searching wildly around, but it was nowehere to be found. Someone had just casually walked by and picked up my bag, without anyone in our group noticing. In it was my friend Kristen's cell phone (!), my CD case, holding 20 some odd CD's, 3 of which were not mine, 2 of which were brand new, my poetry notebook, which contains basically every emotion I've felt since 6th grade, a lot of which I would NOT want anyone to read, my keys, my camera, and my son, Larry the Cucumber. Anyway, to make a long painful story short, I filed a report with the police and with the lost and found, and went home, depressed and without the guys' addys. I was to preoccupied to ask them. So, here I am, lamenting the loss of my past, my comfort, and a way of contacting two incredibly cool guys. DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
