» CHAPTER SIX «
The next 36 hours were spent with my family. We went shopping, to the movies, swimming and watched movies around the house. Spending all that time with my family got me feeling guilty about lying to them. Right now we're on the plane to the Bahamas. Almost everyone's asleep. Katie, Kevin, Nick, and me are the only ones awake.
"Katie, have you talked to B-Rok yet?" I asked.
"Talked to Brian about what?" Nick asked from across the aisle.
"Nothing" Katie replied automatically. "No, I haven't talked to him."
"You really need to. Or you'll be feeling really bad around our wedding."
"You're not going to break up with him, are you?" Kevin asked astonished.
"Of course not. I love Brian more than anything in the world. He's always been right beside me, never had a fight with him or anything like that" Katie replied looking beside her at Brian who looked sound asleep. Little did we know he wasn't sleeping at all. "I just think it's time for something more between us."
"You mean you haven't gone all the way with him?" Nick asked.
"That's not what I mean. It's none of your business how far we've gone. What I mean is I know he's the guy I wanna be with for the rest of my life, but I don't think he feels the same way."
"He talks about you all he time. Though he hasn't said anything about marriage, I think he feels the same way about you" Kevin supplied.
"Katie?" Brian replied in a questioning voice.
"Yeah, honey?"
"I do love you with all my heart. I do want to get married to you, just I didn't think you felt the same about me."
"Can you two stop the mushy stuff? I'm trying to sleep here" Alex replied from his seat next to me.
"Oh poor, baby, can’t sleep" I cooed kissing him.
"That's how I wanna be woken up everyday, ok? I want you to kiss me every morning" Alex replied.
"So are you and B-Rok getting married?" I asked Katie.
"I dunno. If we are it's not gonna be today."
"Oh, Alex, when we get there and are all checked into our rooms we gotta go find a minister and get blood tests and all that sh*t" I replied looking at Alex. "We have to get our marriage license too."
"I know and our good friends can help us do all that."
"Can you, Heather, Nick and Jenna find a minister and church?" I asked Kevin then continued when he nodded his head. "Tell the minister we want to get married tomorrow, that'll be our four year anniversary. Jackie and Howie can go get Alex and me something to wear. Nothing to fancy, just nice. Actually, they only need to get Alex something to wear. I brought one of my mom's white dresses. Katie and Brian can come with me and Alex to get blood tests and the marriage license. Um, when Howie and Jackie are done getting Alex's clothes they can go get me some flowers. Jackie's always been good with picking out flowers. I guess that's all that needs to be done in a day."
"Wow, you've got everything planned" Nick commented.
"I just thought of all that" I replied.
"Must be nervous about getting married" Brian commented.
"Yeah, but I'd never call it off" Alex replied looking into my eyes. "I love Amanda to much."
"And I love Alex too much to call off the wedding. I'm not exactly nervous about the wedding, I'm just excited."
"Ladies and Gentlemen, could please fasten your seat belts. We will be landing soon" a stewardess said over the intercom thing.
"What time is it?" Heather asked sleepily.
"It's about 4:30 at night" Kevin answered.
"Wow, I forgot how pretty it is here" Jackie sighed.
"Let’s go to the hotel" I replied excitedly.
"Damn, girl, calm down. We need to rent 2 or 3 cars first" Heather replied.
