» CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO «

I stepped back one step closer to the brick wall behind. "What then?"

"Remember when you said that love bites and until proven otherwise, that was your opinion?" Brian asked nervously.

"Yeah..."

"May I prove you wrong?"

"How is that possible?"

"Like this." Brian pressed his lips against me. I leaned upon the wall, overwhelmed by the love he was showing me. He kissed my neck briefly. "So?" he asked in a quieted tone.

I kissed his cheek lightly. Brian squeezed me firmly. I laid my head against his pounding chest. I listened to his heart beat confidently. I took his hands and positioned them for a slow dance. We moved silently in the darkness except for the majestic glow of the moon. Brian looked at me. I smiled and placed my head on his chest again, letting out a sigh of relief. He kissed my head and rested his head on mine.

AJ exploded out the doors again. "Morgan, I need you."

"Another dance contest?" I asked, lifting my head up.

"Yep, come quick."

I looked at Brian who looked back with a comforting glint in his eyes. "Go, enjoy yourself." I beamed at him and kissed his lips. I grabbed AJ's hand and off we flew.

In the elevator AJ asked me, "What was that action I saw? Was it...a kiss?"

"Aw, loosen up, man! I can't count how many times you've kissed a girl in front of me."

"We're talking about you here..." He looked in my eyes from the protection of his own sunglasses. "Yeeeaaahh, you guys have feelings for each other. Knew it!" The metallic doors opened and we stepped out. Flashes of light came everywhere. "We're very popular on this floor, Lady."

"Welcome back, Morgan and AJ!" Justin greeted. "Ready to cut some rug?"

I nodded. I faced AJ and he smirked as the music played. I remember this song well. "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" boomed throughout the whole room. AJ asked me, "You know the moves?"

"Yessir."

"Good, let's go!" He and I started at the same time. Our bodies slaves to the beat.

From the elevator, I saw Brian, Nick, Howie and Kevin emerge. I signaled to them, still in motion. Brian got the idea, jumped in and joined. Soon did the rest. The Boys began singing their parts. The crowd started moving to the music as well. The whole floor was grooving! We were a hit. The song ended, and lots of appreciation rang through.
