» CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT «
AJ walked in. "Aw, can you get a room please?" We agreed and walked to Brian's room.
"So what's this about ‘Mr. Perfect' and him being your rebound?" Brian questioned dubiously.
"‘Mr. Perfect' is short for ‘Mr. Fashionable-Perfect' which is AJ. And he said that he would be my rebound if ‘us' didn't work. He meant it as a joke."
Brian chuckled. He looked at me. He searched my face for something, his blue eyes sketching my face. I kissed his cheek for no reason in particular. He found it very ironic, as he told me, that we had been enemies and now were lovers. "How things can change so quickly and in a different pace." He was glad I was with him.
"I will always be with you," I vowed him, "Except when you act like a jackass." I pondered slyly. "Aren't you always a jackass? Maybe I should take AJ's offer." Brian looked in horror. "Just playing, Honey."
He pulled me into his bear hug. I held me hands on his shoulders, where they comfortably hung. Brian kissed my lips gingerly. A crash was heard downstairs. I let go of Brian to see the circumstance.
There I found AJ on the floor with shards of pottery around him. He was moaning slightly. "You okay, AJ?" I asked, concern of what happened.
"I slipped and hit my head against the pot." He pointed to the pieces of clay that Brian was picking up.
I examined his head. He was bleeding. "Jesus, you're bleeding, Dude." I rushed upstairs and grabbed a few gauzes and then hurried back down. I pressed one cottony ball against his scalp. "That should stop the bleeding a little."
"Morgan, you're doing it wrong..." Brian told me.
