» CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE «

He looked down and opened the door. "Then I should be leaving. I must have gotten the wrong signals. Don't tell Brian, he'll kill me." I revealed to him that would anyway, gave him a hug and then he left.

I called back Brian and told him what happened. He wasn't mad, as AJ had anticipated. In fact, he was laughing. "So our little game was for real?" He laughed harder. "He did like you?"

"Yep, but I see that you, a friend of his, aren't going to do anything about it but laugh," I blamed him.

Brian chuckled. "I'm sorry. I will talk to him. Right after I go laugh my brains out." He giggled. I heard noise in the background, but couldn't decipher it.

"You are so mature, Brian!" I laughed, too. "Bye."

I hung up the phone on the receiver and laid down on my bed, which I had been sitting on while talking to him. I closed my eyes. I felt a soft touch against my lips. I stared up to see Brian.

"Hey, Morgan," he greeted softly.

"I thought you were at home..." I assumed.

"I thought you could hear the car noises."

"Nope, guess not," I said, "So, aren't we separated for now?" I was uneasy because he was so close to me.

He shook his head. "I can't stand to be without you. I admit, you're too irresistible." He grinned.

I smiled back. "So that means we're back together?"

"Yes ma'am. Forever," he promised. I looped my arms around him and we embraced, knowing our future was imperceptible, but we knew that we'd always be together. Even if we quarreled once in a while.
