» CHAPTER THREE «

"Uhh," Kathy groaned as she flopped down on the grass.

"That game was kick ass I still can’t believe we beat you guys," Ashley crowed in victory.

"Ha ha, don’t gloat," AJ said. They all flopped down on the grass under a tree and rested. They soon where all talking amongst themselves.

"Anyone have any water?" Kathy asked and Kevin handed her a bottle. "It’s so hot out here," she said as she flopped onto her back and gazed at the sky.

She lay there and gazed for a few seconds before the pristine blueness of the sky was blocked by Nick’s face above her. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "The only thing that is hot out here is you." He then leaned and kissed her sweetly. Kathy was stunned. Her very first kiss and from her dream guy too. She wondered why he would be kissing her but just mentally shrugged and participated in the kiss.

"Hey Brian," Ashley said, "look at that."

"Hey they have the right idea!" Brian said grinning. Ashley just stared at him confused. He leaned in and kissed her.

"Wow," Ashley said breathlessly when they broke apart. "Yep they surely do." She grinned at Brian and leaned in for another kiss. Kevin and Nicole looked at the couples kissing shrugged and went for it.

"Hey, hey you guys stop it," Howie said exasperated.

"Well since you seem to have better things to do than talk to us we’ll just leave," AJ said to the unresponding couples. They both shrugged and walked off leaving the couples alone.
