» CHAPTER SIX «

Robyn rang the bell to Zenit's new apartment that she shared with her boyfriend Jeff. A minute later the door opened half way and Zenit's head appeared.

"Oh hi Robyn. Is everything okay?" Zenit asked still hiding her body behind the door.

"Hi," Robyn said trying to make her way inside the apartment.

"Oh no. Sorry sis but you can't come in," Zenit told her pushing her back outside in the hallway.

Robyn looked at Zenit. "What are you doing having sex in there are something?" Robyn asked.

"Well, yeah so you have to go," Zenit replied as she looked in back of her to see Jeff walking towards her shirtless. Robyn tiptoed to see what was catching her sister's attention and drew in her breath when she saw Jeff.

"Hey Robyn," Jeff waved coming behind Zenit and wrapping his arms around her waist as he kissed he neck.

"Hey," Robyn managed to say to him trying not stare. "I'll get going now I guess. Sorry for interrupting you two..... um well you know what you were doing."

"Okay. I'll call ya later," Zenit told her.

Robyn walked to the elevator feeling hot all over. As she leaned against the hallway wall waiting for the elevator she thought to herself how much she needed a man despite everything she vowed. Kel was right, this is just unhealthy for me, Robyn thought to herself.

"AJ, guess what?" Elizabeth yelled as she hurried inside the penthouse.

"What?" AJ asked coming out of the library.

"I got the part! I got the part I wanted!" Elizabeth exclaimed happily, with a big grin on her face.

AJ had to think for a second about what she was talking about then remembered how she had kept talking about some role in a ballet performance. "Congratulations baby!" AJ said hugging her and then giving her a kiss. "I knew you were going to get it all along."

Elizabeth smiled at him. "I am just so happy that you were right. It's a wonderful ballet, it got so many good reviews and I am just so happy to be a part of it now. All those years at dancing school and taking special lessons and going to special schools for dancing have finally paid off for me." Elizabeth's blue eyes sparkled and her face glowed in happiness.

"I think this calls for a celebration," AJ told her.

Elizabeth bit her lip and nodded smiling. AJ kissed the tip of her nose. "When does my soon to be famous girlfriend make her debut in this marvelous ballet?" he asked in a fake English accent. Elizabeth answered him. AJ’s face fell when he heard her response.

"Two weeks from today? he asked to make sure he had heard her right.

Elizabeth nodded noticing the sudden change in AJ's face. "Honey, is something wrong?" she asked concerned.

"Uh? Oh, yeah everything is fine," AJ lied for Elizabeth's benefit.

"Are you sure? You can make it, right?" Elizabeth began to question.

"Yeah, of course I can make it to see my girl," AJ reassured her.

"Good, you have to make it," Elizabeth told him.

"So where do you want to go to celebrate?" AJ asked her.

"I don't know," Elizabeth thought.

"How about McDonald's?" AJ suggested.

Elizabeth made a face. "Please, I don't think so." Elizabeth sucked her teeth with that comment.

"Okay, let me go smoke a cigarette and then we could talk," AJ said.

"Must you smoke. You know how I hate smoking. You promised me you were going to stop," Elizabeth pointed out.

"I am, eventually," AJ reassured her.

"Liar," Elizabeth called after him smiling thinking how much she was lucky to have him.
