» CHAPTER TWELVE «

It was Friday, half an hour before seven - the girls’ night out. I was busy getting ready to go to ‘LITTLE ITALY’ where I would meet Alicia. Hazel said that she had to go to her parents’ anniversary party and couldn’t make it. I put on a light blue tank top with a white blouse over it, black, nylon pants, and black sandals. My hair was in a ponytail. It had been months since I last dressed up like this.

I left the house exactly at 6:50, since the restaurant was only 10 minutes away from my house. Ali had told me that she had a table reserved just for the two of us under the name of Harper. I was thoroughly excited by this little ‘playdate’. It felt good to just be able to talk with my best friend, and who knows? Maybe I’ll meet some cute guys there. I was trying desperately to forget AJ. Dammit, I didn’t know it would be this hard! I drove in the parking lot and entered the building.

~ Meanwhile ~

 AJ exited the house and started the engine on his Corvette. He had thought that Brian and Kev were already out and at the restaurant. Maybe they’d play a little hoop or play some arcades. He had been told that they would have a table reserved for them by the name of ‘BSB’. AJ smirked.

‘LITTLE ITALY’ soon came into his view and he pushed open the double doors.
