» CHAPTER ONE «

Summer eased her car into the garage where it would soon be taken away. Three days ago she had heard a funny noise from under the hood and had begun to worry about what it was. The noise had eventually gotten worse so she was taking it in to be checked out.

She got out and put her dark sunglasses on. "Dang it's freaking hot", she murmured to herself as she pushed a strand of hair out of her face. Summer was an attractive, 21 year old who loved to party. She had brown hair with blonde highlights, long legs, a curvy figure, and tan skin. And she got noticed, often.

"Yes, my name is Summer Wright. I was scheduled to bring my car in to have a tune-up and to see what is making a strange noise", she told the balding man behind the desk.

"OK, you are right on time. It will take probably about 1-2 hours depending on what is wrong. You can take a seat in the waiting room if you wish, maam," he told her.

"Thank you", Summer quaintly said and walked away. "This is gonna be fun", she grumbled to herself.

About a half-an-hour passed before anyone came in. Summer had read nearly every single magazine, including the mechanics ones. She heard someone sit down and looked up.

Sitting on the other side of the room was a young man, probably about 22 or 23 years of age. He had a well trimmed goatee, in an interesting shape on his chin. He had on a white wife beater and dark, baggy Tommy jeans. But what really caught Summer's attention was the tattoos that adorned his body, up and down both arms. The guy was really skinny, but there was muscle in places Summer did not expect out of such a small man.

The man sensed someone staring and looked up, Summer blushed and quickly looked away. "Long wait?" he asked her.

"Yeah, I think something is wrong with the transmission. What about you?" she quietly asked him, getting a look at his chocolate brown eyes. She thought they were beautiful.

"Just here for a tune up", he replied in a raspy voice. "I'm AJ McLean, and you are?"
