» CHAPTER FIVE «

Summer watched him turn the corner and then went into the house. "This is gonna be so awesome! Party, party, party!"

Feeling sticky and hot she hopped into the shower, relaxing as she shampooed her hair. Absentmindedly she began to sing, "Every time we're down, you can make it right and that makes you larger than life!" Putting a robe on she got out.

"What to wear? Hmmm", she murmured to herself as she scanned her large closet. After 10 minutes she decided on a pair of tight black pants, a maroon tube top, and a maroon pull-over. She was just about to start on her hair and makeup when the phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Summer?" asked a raspy voice.

"AJ! Hi! I was waiting for you to call," Summer told him.

"Well babe, I'm here now. You still comin'? "

"Heck yeah! I can hardly wait, um, I need you to pick me up. Whose house is it at anyways?" Summer asked as she began to comb put her hair.

"It's at my friend Brian's. He's a huge sports buff and we all decided to just have it over there," he said.

"All right, see you in about 45 minutes!" she cheerfully said.

"Bye Summer," J replied and hung up.

Summer didn't need much makeup on her pretty features, really just some mascara to bring out her brilliant green eyes and some lip gloss. She looked at her watch and grabbed her keys and purse just as she heard a ring at the door.

AJ smiled as soon as Summer opened the door. "Wow, you look awesome", he told her, looking her body up and down.

"Thank you, but pick your jaw up," she joked, grinning at him.

AJ lifted the corner of his mouth in a half smile and rubbed a hand over his goatee. "You ready?"

''Yeah".

He opened the door of his jeep for her, allowing her to get in and then shutting it. They chatted quietly together as AJ drove, not taking long until they pulled up a to a very large house with about 10 cars parked in the driveway and street. They got out and AJ walked over to Summer, "My lady", he said offering his arm.

"Thank you", entwining her arm through his and they walked up to the door. It opened as they got to the steps.

"Bone’s here!" yelled a tall, blue-eyed, blonde young man. He had on a Titans jersey and baggy jeans. His hair was blowing in his eyes. "You must be Summer, I'm Nick," he said and held out his hand.

"Yes, nice to meet you," Summer answered and shook his hand. They walked into a large room. To the right was a giant TV, almost the full size of the wall. Guys were yelling at it. One of them caught Summer's attention however. He was skinny, not very tall though. The man had curly, dirty-blondeish hair, and bright blue eyes.

"Come on, let me introduce you," AJ said and put his arm around her waist, leading her over to a tall man with very large shoulders and arms. "Kevin, meet Summer. Summer this is Kevin."

The man smiled kindly, "Nice to meet you. I see you have found my man AJ. Watch out," he joked.

"Oh I know, he has already given me a slight glance to the real him. But I can handle him" Summer laughed.

"Later Train".

AJ led Summer over to the rest of the guys and introduced them to her. They all talked for a while before AJ asked Summer if she wanted to go out on the porch. They sat down on the swing together , not saying anything for about five minutes. AJ spoke up.

"Summer...I think you're awesome. I wanna go out with you again. I mean I know we just got here, but I feel this great vibe with you," AJ quietly confessed, looking over at her.

She smiled and gazed up into his brown eyes. She could read all of him right now through them, they gave him away.

"I like you too AJ," she told him.

He leaned down and kissed her tenderly on the forehead, she scooted over and laid her head on his chest, listening to him breathe as he stroked her hair.
