» CHAPTER TWELVE «

"Sure."

"You have a thang for my friend don't you?"

"No, I mean she’s beautiful and nice and sweet and.....no. I just met her. How could I?" Alexis grinned and leaned across the table.

"If you didn't why would you have just stuttered?" She leaned back in her seat and smiled a knowing smile. "If you don't then I guess you won't care about who she has her eye on."

"She has her eye on Kavana right now," J.c said pointing to the close couple again. He sighed and put his head on the table.

"Actually J.c" she said getting up. "She has her eye on the guy pounding his head on the table. If you don't believe me look up." J.c looked over at Jazlyne and locked eyes with her. "See, Lexi knows all hun." She smiled at him and walked towards Jazlyne. J.c saw her whisper something in her ear then Jazlyne said something to Kavana and gave him a hug. J.c clenched his teeth and put his head on the table again. Jazlyne and Alexis approached the table laughing about something.

"So he says, ‘I know I'm taking a crazy chance, but would you like to dance’"

With that the two girls broke out into uncontrollable laughter again. "Man," Jazlyne said in-between breaths. "That has to be the funniest thing I have ever heard."

"Yeah. Dang, look what time it is Jazie. We gotta get back. J is gonna kill us if he found out we left." Jazlyne nodded and the two grabbed their purses and jackets.

"So you guys staying here for any longer or you leavin with us?" Alexis asked mostly looking at Lance. He got up and helped her with her coat.

"Nah, I think we'll go with you guys. I’m surprised J.c is asleep by now," Lance joked. J.c paid no attention, he was floating on cloud nine.

"Cool, come on J.C," Jazlyne said putting out her hand for J.c to take.

As he did the two felt sparks fly. The four quickly walked out of the club hoping to get back to the hotel before they were busted. Jazlyne and Alexis giggled gleefully as they approached their room. Since the guys were just four rooms down the hall they decided to hangout the next day. Each couple broke off from the group.
