» CHAPTER FOURTEEN «

~ The Next Morning ~

 "*Ring, Ring*" The phone blared awaking Alexis from her peaceful slumber. She raised up on her elbows, grabbing for the phone on her nightstand.

"Hello?" she said in more of a question than an answer.

"Dang girl, your voice sounds more raspy than your brothers," Brian laughed.

Alexis rubbed her eyes sleepily and smiled. "Oh hey Bri. What's up?" She sat up in her bed glancing around the still dark hotel room. "By the way what time is it?"

"Nothin much and it's six-thirty am. Morning bus boarding hun. That's why I'm calling. Is Jazi awake?" Alexis shifted her gaze over to the bundle in the bed next to hers and shook her head. "Hello? Lex?"

"Oops, sorry Bri. I guess I'm still a little asleep," she laughed as she put a foot out onto the fluffy brown carpet floor.

"It's ok, just be out in the lobby by seven-thirty sharp with your bags. Alright?" Alexis walked into the kitchen et. part of their room.

"Sure thing jelly bean. It'll all be good as long as I have some coffee and a pop tart," she said as she opened a wooden cabinet over the small stove.

"Alright girlie, I better go now. I got a couple more people to wake up," he replied unhappily.

"Aww Bri, who stuck you with the job?" she laughed knowing how hard the guys were to wake up.

"They drew a name from a hat and I was asleep. Lucky me huh?" Brian said sarcastically. "Well, I’ll see ya in an hour. Bye." Alexis clicked off the phone and pulled out a pop tart.

"I’ll let her sleep for a few more minutes," she thought as she proceeded towards the bathroom. Alexis was awoken completely as the warm water hit her body. She began to hum as she remembered last night. She grabbed the shampoo and sighed. Maybe this trip wasn't going to be as bad as she thought.
