» CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE «

"Lex, Bri? You two in there?" Jazlyne questioned, shaking the door handle. Brian and Alexis drew away from each other instantly at the sound of her voice. The two stared at each other lustfully as Jazlyne knocked again. Alexis grinned mischievously as she walked towards the door.

"Yeah," she responded, tossing a book towards Brian, "we're in here Jaz. One-second." Brian licked his lips, enjoying the taste of her lip gloss that remained on his lips. He winked at Alexis as she opened the door tediously, savoring each last moment she could have alone with Brian. As she opened the door he held up his book to appear as if he had been reading.

"Hey Lex Mex, what took you so long and why was the door locked?" Alexis snickered softly at Jazlyne's baffled expression. She put a comforting hand on Jazlyne's shoulder and led her towards one of the couches.

"Bri and I were talking and I didn't want Ding dong boy to come in or Jay. I didn't think you were gonna get on? What happened to the Nsync bus my dear lil buddy?" Jazlyne grinned wickedly and peered down at her watch.

"I'm boarding in like ten minutes. My stupid brother practically scared J.C off with his dirty looks. I don't know what I am gonna do with him! How am I gonna get off? I'LL NEVER SEE J.C!!!!" Jazlyne panicked as she stared from Brian to Alexis.

"What were you guys talking about in here? I hope I'm not interrupting anything." Alexis sent Brian a worried gaze. He sat up slightly and smiled at the two, placing his unread book down on the coffee table.

"We were talking about how to get you off the bus without questioning." He stated calmly, as if it was the whole truth. Jazlyne beamed graciously and hopped off the couch.

"Thanks sooo much you guys! I mean I was so worried I wasn't going to see J.C and the other guys. Skye would have been sad too because she wanted both of us to go, but since you couldn't go she was happy at least one of us is
going. Hey, why aren't you going anyway?" Jazlyne inquired curiously.

"I can cover for one of us to go, but for both of us that would be hard. I mean Bri here covered for us last night I don't wanna put him in that position again. Tell Skye I'm sorry though and that she should come on our bus sometime." Alexis explained politely, walking towards the bunks with Jazlyne.

"Alright, but I bet Lance is gonna be jealous. I mean you two hit it off really good lastnight and he was looking forward to seeing you tonight. You guys would be so cute you know." Jazlyne rambled on a mile a minute as she
threw clothes and overnight things in her backpack. "Now how am I getting out of here?"

"Hold on, I'll go get Brian. You pack and make sure Usher and Jay don't come on and see you." Alexis sauntered back to the entertainment room to be met with a disturbed expression on Brian's cheerful face.

"What's wrong?" Alexis asked as she entered the room. Brian let out a haste breath as he stood up from the couch.

"What's going on with you and Lance? I heard what Jaz was saying and it sounds to me like you have a nice little Nsync boyfriend." Alexis's eye narrowed in slight anger. She walked even farther into the room, so she was now standing right in front of him.

"There is nothing going on. We kissed a couple of times last night, but none of them compare to what its like when you kiss me. How dare you question me. You know me better than that. I would never do that to anyone I care about. Lance and I kissed lastnight, yes, but that meant nothing compared to this." Alexis grabbed Brian by his shirt collar and kissed him roughly.

"And if that doesn't prove my point than you need help Brian Thomas Littrell." Alexis chided in a half whisper. Brian stood there baffled by this girl and he behavior. He shook his head slightly and followed her back to where Jazlyne
was.
