» CHAPTER NINE «

~ With Lance And Alexis ~

 "Thanks for going with me. Jazlyne is going to kill me when I get back. Either that or tell A.J that I snuck out." She looked up at him as they walked down the quiet street. He looked down into her eyes. She blushed under his glance and looked away. He kept looking at her and smiled at her shyness.

"So are you in the entertainment biz like your brother? Is it like a family thing?"

"Oh, not really. I mean all I do is write and sometimes act. Jazlyne and I have had columns in some magazines and we've also helped with some of those teenage advice books. Normal stuff, nothin compared to J. I'm not like him in that part, I couldn't get up on stage every night and do that. Also, Lex cannot sing except in the shower or to the car radio." The two laughed lightly.

"Well that still is a lot for someone only twenty-one. I bet you have fans that enjoy the work you and Jazlyne do," he smiled sweetly and looked her in the eye stopping their pace.

"Thanks, but I don’t really think so. At least not as many as you boybanders do," she laughed nervously. "You have girls by the truckload. I bet you guys could have anyone you wanted." Lance shrugged his shoulders carelessly.

"I’m not so sure of that."

"Why?" she asked gazing up into his mint green eyes. All time seemed to stop around her. Her heart raced, palms sweated.

"There’s one girl I really want," he said moving closer to her. Soon their bodies were inches apart. He lifted her chin up with his hand. They stared intently into eachothers eyes. She could smell his cologne and felt his breath on her cheek. She stared from his eyes to his lips, hoping to communicate what she wanted.

"And," she stuttered. "Who’s that?"

"You," he breathed in heavily as he kissed her tenderly on the lips. She jumped for joy in her mind. As they pulled away a goofy grin spread across her lips. She shivered as the wind below across her face. Lance pulled her close and put his arm around her shoulders as they walked back to the club.
