» CHAPTER FIVE «

Ash and Nick left their house in their cars, Ash was ahead of Nick already, so he was following her.  After about 5 minutes on the road, a lightning bolt struck in front of Ash's car, and she swerved off the road, and did a donut into a tree.

Nick came to a quick stop screaming, "Holy f*cking sh*t god why!?" and he got out of his car.  He ran over to Ash's car and got her out, onto the ground.

She looked up at him with tears in her eyes, and said, "Nick, don't worry about me, I'm not afraid to die here right now, I will be fine."

"No, Ash please, dont leave me here alone, please Ash please dont leave me here..." Nick said in tears and he tried to wipe the blood from Ashley's head.

Ash found the strength in her to sit up and give Nick a  kiss.  "I love you Nick, please dont forget me..."  Ash said then passed on to a better place.

Nick walked over to his car and pounded his fists on the hood of his car yelling obsanities. He got back in the car and called 911, and Brian.

"Brian, man Ash is dead...."  Nick said to Brian on the phone in tears.

"What?!  Nick this is not time for your practical jokes!"

"I'm not joking Brian... she's dead, she swerved off the road into a tree... can I please talk to Brit."

"Yeah, hold on"

"Hello?" I said in a worried voice.  Nick burst into tears, and I knew what I was about to hear... I got chills up and down my spine as Nick balled into my ear.

"Brit, she's dead, and its my fault... I shouldn't have let her drive alone knowing the weather was bad..."

"Nick, it isn't your fault... is an ambulance there?"  I asked him about to cry.

"Yes, but there's no luck, she's dead..."

"Well once their done there and you're done with filing reports, come to our house... we need to talk."
