» CHAPTER FIFTEEN «

A month later, everyone is getting ready for a wedding. Jenny is now seven months pregnant, but is looking beautiful. She has asked Kelly to be a maid of honor, and Howie asked his brother, John, to be best man. The BSB are groom's men, and Jenny's friend, Megan, and Leigh-Anne and Howie's other two sisters, Angela and Polly-Anna, are bride's maids. Kevin gives Jenny away, and then stands as a groom's man. The flower girl is Nick's younger sister, Angel, and the ring bearer is her twin brother, Aaron, who performs a little music himself. The guys are helping Howie get ready. Jenny is in another room, getting ready, herself.

"Are you ready? This is it." Brian says, smiling.

Howie sighs, "Yeah, Let's do it."

The guys all hear music starting, and they all walk out into the altar. Kevin goes to the bridal room, to fetch Jenny. He knocks lightly on the door, and Megan answers it.

"We're all ready." Kevin stated.

Megan nods and lets him in. He walks in and finds Jenny wearing the most beautiful gown. It's an ankle length gown, with a thin shawl on her shoulders. She's wearing a white hat along with it. This is the same gown that her mom wore on her wedding day, getting married to her dad. Jenny smiles as soon as she sees Kevin, and gets ready to walk down the aisle.

"You look gorgeous. Howie is not going to believe the way you look."

"Thank you. I'm just so nervous right now, but I'm happy too."

The bride's maids line up, along with Angel and Aaron, and they all head out to the altar. Jenny links arms with Kevin, and they walk down the aisle. Kevin was right, when Howie saw Jenny, he had a look of shock, and happiness mixed all in one. Jenny looks at everyone sitting down the aisle, and sees Paula tearing up, and Hoke with a big smile on his face. Sweetie is on a leash, sitting at Paula's feet, sleeping. He has a white bow on his collar. When she gets to the altar, Kevin kisses her lightly on her cheek, and hands her over to Howie. The wedding starts.

"Who gives this woman to this man?" The minister asks.

"I do." Kevin answers.

He moves to the end of the line, and listens as the minister continues.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today, to join Howard and Jennifer in holy matrimony. Howard and Jennifer, please face one another and join hands."

Jenny gives her bouquet to Kelly and holds his hands.

"Howard, repeat after me. I, Howard..."

"take you, Jennifer..."

"to be my lawful wife."

"I promise to be faithful to you..."

"In good times and in bad..."

"In sickness and in health..."

"To love and to cherish..."

"Til death do us part."

"Now Jennifer, repeat after me..."

"I, Jennifer..."

"Take you Howard..."

"To be my lawful husband..."

"I promise to be faithful to you..."

"In good times and in bad..."

"In sickness and in health..."

"To love and to cherish..."

"Til death do us part."

"May I have the rings please?"

Aaron gives John the rings, and John gives them to the minister. Howie takes Jenny's ring and starts to slide it on.

"Howard, repeat after me..."

"With this ring, I thee wed."

He slides it on. Jenny takes Howie's ring and starts to slide it on.

"Jennifer, repeat after me..."

"With this ring, I thee wed."

She slides it on.

"Now I pronounced you, for the first time, husband and wife. You may kiss your bride."

Howie kisses her passionately, and everyone cheers for them.

"I now present to you, for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dorough."

Howie and Jenny walk out, followed by Aaron and Angel, then John and Kelly, Brian and Leigh-Anne, Nick and Angela, A.J. and Polly-Anna, and ending with Kevin and Megan.

Everyone goes to a dance hall for the reception, and had dancing, magicians, and karaoke. The bride's maids had to sing a song, which was not bad, since they had Polly-Anna, and Angel, and of course the groom's men had to sing one of their songs, and were great. The only difference was that Aaron had to sing Howie's part. But the funniest of all, Howie and Jenny had to sing too. But they worked their way out of it, because Howie sang his solo, and Jenny signed it. Everyone groaned at this, but technically, they were singing together, so they couldn't do anything about it. After the reception, Howie and Jenny goes on their honeymoon, at their house, since Jenny was so close to her due date, and Kelly and Sweetie stayed with Paula and Hoke.

A couple days into the honeymoon, Jenny had a crampy feeling all day. She figured that it was nothing, and mentioned it to Howie, they decided to wait and see. They stayed home, so that just in case, something happened...they can call Paula and Hoke, and get to the hospital, with no problems. Later on that day, Jenny goes into labor, in the bathroom.

"Howie! I need your help here!" she yells.

He runs to her and sees what happened. He helps her into the living room, and runs to grab her bag. As he's doing this, Jenny calls Paula and Hoke, to tell them what's happening. The phone rings and Kelly answers.

"Hello?"

"Kelly? It's Jenny. Are Paula and Hoke there?"

"Yeah, what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, I'm just having a baby, that's all." she says sarcastically.

"Okay, okay. I'll tell them. We'll see you at the hospital." she hangs up.

"Paula, Hoke, We need to get to the hospital. Jenny's having the babies."

They all get ready and head to the hospital.

Howie gets Jenny's bag, and they head to the hospital. The doctors see them, and they work right away, to get Jenny into a room. The doctors check Jenny out, and figured that Jenny is too small to give birth naturally, so she has to get a C-section. The nurse takes Howie to the waiting room, while they prep Jenny. Paula and Hoke come walking in the room and sees Howie. Kelly is following closely behind them.

Howie is waiting in the waiting room. He sees his parents, and jumps up out of his seat. They all walk to him.

"How is she? How are the babies?" Paula asks.

"I don't know, the doctors are going to do a C-section on her, and I'm waiting for the nurse to come take me to her. They say that since Jenny is so small, and the babies are one month premature, it's a wait and see."

"Have you called the guys yet?" Kelly asks.

"No, I didn't. Why don't you do it for me, okay?"

Kelly nods and gets to the nearest pay phone. She calls collect, and dials Kevin's number. Before the phone rings the second time, Kevin answers it.

"Hello?"

"Kevin? It's Kelly. It's time for Jenny to have the babies. We're at the hospital.  Jenny is getting a C-section, and Howie's a nervous wreck over here. I'll call everyone else."

"Yeah, Okay. I'll be there in a few minutes. Thanks Kelly." he hangs up.

Kelly calls the other guys, and says the same thing. They all get to the hospital in record time. After everyone got there, the nurse paged Howie and he gets dressed, to see Jenny through the birth. Jenny is lying on a table hooked up to a couple of machines and is on an oxygen mask. Howie sees her, and sits down on a stool next to her. Howie talks to her during the whole procedure, and soon it was time to get the babies out. A doctor works on Jenny and finally Howie hears a baby cry. The doctor calls out the sex.

"It's a boy!"

He cuts the cord, and hands the baby to a nurse to clean him up, and check him out. He proceeds with the second baby. A few minutes later, another baby came out, crying. The doctors cries out again.

"It's a girl!"

He cuts the cord, and hands the baby to another nurse to clean her up. He proceeds again. Another few minutes, a baby cries out. The doctor shouts.

"It's a boy!"

He cuts the cord, and hands it to another nurse, and checks Jenny out. Jenny is smiling through the mask, and Howie is crying very quietly. Only Jenny hears him, and squeezes his hand. He kisses it, and sighs. He looks over at where the nurses are, working on the babies.

"Are they all right?" Howie asks the doctor.

The doctor smiles, and nods. "They all should be fine, premature babies are common in multiples. They are three beautiful miracles. Now, you need to get back out to the waiting room, it seems like you have a lot of anxious people out there."

Howie nods, and kisses Jenny on her head. He goes out to the waiting room, and sees everyone either walking back and forth, or sitting very nervously. He walks in, and everyone jumps and walks towards him.

"Well, what happened?" Kevin asks.

"Two boys and a girl. They came out boy, girl, boy. The doctor is checking them over now, but they should be fine. It's a real miracle."

"What are their names?" Kelly asks.

"You'll see, when you see them, read the names." Howie smiles.

Everyone laughs and cries, and they relax a little bit. Howie goes back to Jenny and the babies. Everyone waits, and a few minutes later, the nurse ushers them to the maternity ward, and lets them see the babies. Everyone reads the babies names on their cribs. It was a real shock, for all of them. One of the boys is named Howard Dwaine Dorough Jr., the girl's name is
Nicole Carter Dorough, and the last boy is named Alexander James Dorough.

"They named the babies after the first members of the group!" Kevin laughed.

"But why did they have to name the girl after me?" Nick whines, smiling.

The group laughs, and finally goes to see Jenny and Howie, in the recovery room. A.J. knocks on the door, and Howie answers it. From the looks of the group, Howie laughs. They all go into the room, and sees Jenny sitting up in bed, and she laughs too, when she sees the group's faces.

"Something tells me, that you saw the babies names." Howie answered, walking towards Jenny's bed. He offers them to sit down around the room.

"Why did you do it?" Brian asks.

"I'll let Howie answer that one, and then, I'll tell you my reason."

"I'm very proud of our group, and I wanted something permanent, to remind me of what I am. I love this group, and I wanted to do something special for it."

"I'm also proud of the group, and I always have been. I also wanted to do something special for the group, too. So we decided to name our babies, after the three beginning members of the group.

As soon as she said that, a nurse came in, pushing two cribs, and another nurse follows, pushing another crib. Howie thanks them, and pushes the cribs by the end of the bed. He smiles, as everyone looks at the babies.

"I just got an idea. Kelly told me earlier this month, that she has a scrapbook of the group, and of me and Jenny, and our lives. I asked her to bring a camera with her, did you bring it, Kelly?"

"Yeah, I have it right here." showing him a camera.

"Good, I want you to take some pictures."

Kelly takes pictures of Jenny and the babies, Howie and the babies, and one of everybody alone and the babies. Kevin takes a picture of Kelly and the babies. After all of the pictures were taken, Kelly announces, "There are a couple of pictures left. What now?"

Howie smiles, "I got it. How about one of the Me, Nick, and A.J. with the baby that they are named after?"

"Yeah! That's great! Okay, everyone grab your namesake, and smile."

The boys sit down in three chairs and holds the babies. Kelly takes a picture.

"Now, how about one of the whole group, and the babies?" Kelly asks.

She sets up the camera, at the end of the bed. Everyone sits on the bed, and Howie holds one boy, while Jenny holds the other two babies. They all smile, and the camera takes a picture, of a happy group, and their new additions.
