-Toubabo Koomi means "The Land Of The
White Cannibals".
-Diab Soule means "Drunken Devil" in
Cajun-French.
-Acidbath used to practice in a condemned
porn theater in Morgan City, LA.
-The band used to be called
"Golgotha"
-Jerry Businell from "Choke" was in the
band before Sammy.
-Acidbath was on tour when "Paegan
Terrorism Tactics" was released, their official CD release party was
at Tipitina's in New Orleans on Jan 4, 1997.
-Diab Soule's lyrics were written by
Sammy Pierre Duet (all the others were by Dax).
-Sammy Pierre Duet is not Sammy's real
name, Dax came up with the name, it was taken from a 15th century
witch. His real name is just "Sammy Duet".
-They have a video out for "Toubabo
Koomi".
-The video was directed by Bruce Martin
who also did videos for Z.Z.Top and the Melvins.
-The name of the last track (the spoken
word/poem piece) on "Paegan Terror Tactics" is called "The Beautiful
Downgrade".
-The album is spelt "Paegan" instead of
"Pagan" because they mispelt it (that's what Sammy told me, something
tells me he was joking, but who am i to argue? And if its of any
consequence, the olde english way of spelling it is 'Paegan'
also....).
-The reason so little merchandise is
available, mainly shirts and such, is that the band handled all that.
All the shirt's artwork was done by Dax and if you have a shirt, its
probably pretty rare, so watch where you drop that ciggarette!
-Sammy only wears those socks with the
color stripe on em, he says when he wears em they bring him good
luck. Sammy is a very superstious person. (Example-The band photo in
"When the Kite String
Pops".)
