"I don't know what her problem is!" Nick said, pacing in his room. "Well, let's review the day!" Brian said. "One, you kissed Christine." "I didn't kiss her, she kissed me." "Two, you rolled your eyes at her." Brian continued. "And three, you forgot when her birthday and anniversary was!" ~ Later that night; Brian, Kevin and Christine were all sitting in Christine's room. "No way!" She was on the phone with me. Brian was so bored, he almost fell asleep, but he caught himself from falling over. "You're joking…Totally! Uh huh! Ya see, if a guy was rude like that to me, I'd be like 'okay, seeya' but you and Nick, you're like… I can't even explain it." ~ Thirty minutes later, Christine was still talking to me on the phone. Brian had been sleeping for about five minutes. Kevin was looking at a magazine that was on her desk. "Yeah, I know. Sarah… I have to go. No, I'll talk to you later, k… Bye." She hung up the phone. Christine looked at Brian. "Brian!" She yelled. Brian was so startled that he fell off the end of the bed, where he'd been sitting. "I've got the perfect idea! Let's set them up." Christine smiled. "Can we do it tomorrow?" Brian looked at his watch, half-asleep. "It's eleven thirty for crayon out loud." Christine turned to Kevin. "So, where should we have them meet?" She asked. Brian groaned. "I dunno…" Kevin shrugged. "How about the arcade?" "You're a genius! That's perfect!" Christine said, pulling out two pieces of paper and two pencils. ~ The next morning, I drove over to Christine's house. I was lucky enough to get there just in time for her to tell me what happened last night. "So, after I stopped talking to you, Stephanie called me again and she was like all happy because she said Nick called her. But I didn't believe her. She was talking like a mile a minute but I could never talk like that. I mean, I have to breathe after every word! Ya know?" She stopped. "Uh huh…" I said. "Oh yeah, this is for you." Christine pulled out of a piece of paper and handed it to me. "Why is his writing so messy?" I asked. "That's a stupid question… Everything about him is messy." I finished. "Sarah…" Christine said. "I'm only telling the truth." I said, looking at her. Christine invited me in for some lunch. ~ Nick, Brian, and Kevin were sitting in McDonalds, eating lunch. "So, what'd you guys do last night?" Nick asked. Brian had his head on the table and was sleeping. "Nothin much." Kevin answered, taking a bite out of his burger. "Then why is Brian so tired?" Nick asked. Brian pulled another note out of his hat and handed it to Nick without lifting his head off the table.
