Western Sydney Youth Forum

The Western Sydney Youth Forum is a group of young people who are active in their local communities and committed to taking action on youth issues across the Western Sydney region. They are supported by the Youth Action Policy Association (YAPA) which is an organisation dedicated to the improvement of youth services for the people of western Sydney.

Within the commitee several sub-groups exist, and each group has particular outcomes and objectives.

These groups aim to make a certain component of Western Sydney more acessible and accomodating for young people. These sub-groups focus on issues including: youth depression and stress management, alcohol and drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, body image, sexuality, multiculturalsim, youth transport (or the lack of!!), youth unemployment, entertainment and many other issues.

A recent initative of the commitee, which involved the combined efforts of many people was the "Youthfest conference" a conference organised for young people by young people.
