Goku had been flying for a few hours and was determined to find Bulma and confront her about what she had done. He blinked when he suddenly felt Bulma and Yamcha?s ki flicker beneath him.

Goku landed in a very busy area.

Even though it was long past midnight, cars zoomed along the roads and people sat in bars downing beers and wasting all of their money and having a good time.

A sad smile came to Goku?s face.

?I wonder what would have happened if Vegeta had gotten his hands on a bottle of scotch?a drunk Saiyan?that would be memorable??

Goku thought. He looked to his left and his eyes widened as his gaze settled on a very nice looking condo. ?I guess Bulma brought plenty of money with her too?? Goku thought.

He marched up to the door and knocked.

He could hear Yamcha laughing as he came to answer the door.

The door swung open to reveal a smiling Yamcha.

Yamcha?s smiling face was replaced by a surprised one.

?Goku? Hi?? He trailed off as he caught the serious look on Goku?s face.

When Goku looked like that, it totally meant that something had him very upset.

?Who is it Yamcha?? Came Bulma?s voice as she came up behind him.

Her smile faded as she set her eyes on Goku.

?Goku? What are you doing all the way over here?? She asked surprised.

?I need to talk to you.? He said seriously.

He looked at Yamcha. ?Alone.? He added.

Bulma exchanged looks with Yamcha and realized that Goku was dead serious, and by the looks of it, something VERY bad must have happened to upset him like this.

?S-sure?? She said as she opened the door all the way and let him in.

Yamcha went upstairs and left the two alone in the living room.

Goku sat down on the couch and Bulma sat on a armchair in front of him.

?Would you like anything to drink?? She asked.

Goku shook his head. He looked her straight in the eye.

?Why did you do it Bulma??? He asked.

Her eyes widened. ?I-I don?t know what you?re talking about!? She muttered as she cast her eyes to the ground. Goku sighed and sat back.

?Bulma?? He said softly. ?Don?t try to hide it??

She sighed and put her head in her hands.

?Does he know??? She asked her voice low.

?Oh he knows all right?? Goku said nodding.

?Did he kill anything yet??? Bulma asked.

?Actually no?? Goku said pretending to be surprised. This caused Bulma to look up.

?Oh, so he acted all macho and said he didn?t give a damn, am I right??? She said bitterly.

?No Bulma.? Goku said softly. ?He didn?t do either.?

She looked at Goku in surprise. ?Then?what did he do???

?You hurt him Bulma?you hurt him a lot?? Goku said softly as he folded his hands in his lap.

Bulma ?hmphed.? ?Yeah right?? She muttered.

?I?m serious Bulma?look in my eyes and tell me I?m lying?? Goku said challenging her.

Bulma looked at him. He was telling the truth. It was nearly impossible for him to tell a lie.

?I hurt him did I?? Well good! The bastard deserved it!? She snapped.

Goku just continued to stare at her in sadness.

?Do you know how much you hurt him?? You hurt him so much?that he?s lost his will to live??

Goku murmured as he stared at her unnervingly. This really caught Bulma?s attention.

?What?? She whispered. Goku nodded.

?You hurt him so much Bulma?? Goku murmured shaking his head. ?So much??

?You should have seen his face?he was shocked, shocked that YOU of all people could do that to him. You betrayed him Bulma?you were his only link to happiness?and you broke it.?

Bulma stared at Goku in shock as he continued to talk.

?He?s gone now?he left saying that nobody cared about him anymore?do you realize what you?ve done Bulma? Do you??? Goku asked.

Bulma?s lip quivered. ?I??

?You?ve shattered the last remains of the little bit of soul he had inside of him?you broke his heart, you betrayed him. You left him broken!? Goku said shouting now as he rose to his feet.

Bulma also came to her feet.

?He hurt me too Goku! He hurt me too!? Bulma yelled with tears in her eyes.

?He treated me like nothing! He never told me that he cared about me! He was never there when I needed him!? She cried.

Goku stared at her and then in a murmur he said, ?That?s your excuse???

Bulma?s eyes widened with shock.

?Do you know what he?s been through!? Do you!?? Goku shouted angrily.

?Not one day in his life! Not one! He was never told that he was cared about! How does that compare to you Bulma!? You have loving parents! You have friends! YOU HAVE A LIFE!? Goku screamed. Bulma had tears streaming down her face now.

?His planet annihilated! His father killed! He was tortured and was kept cold and ruthless by a force he couldn?t control! How would you be right now if you saw millions die before your very eyes when you?re just an innocent child! HE LIVED A NIGHTMARE BULMA!? He screamed again.

?Until he met you?you Bulma?you?he tries, how hard he tries, you showed him Bulma, that there was light?? Goku finished his speech and stared at Bulma.

?It?s not fair?? She whispered. ?How can you take his side?I cared about him I really did?but how can I care about him now if he treats me like nothing???

Goku blinked. ?Bulma?why do you think he acts that way??? He murmured.

Her tear-filled eyes widened. ?I?I don?t know??

Goku bowed his head as a lump rose in his throat.

?His life before you left something behind Bulma?it left a scar?a scar that can never heal??

He whispered shaking his head but then his head snapped up and his face held an angry look.

?And he tried to get used to your care but you threw it back in his face! He cared about you Bulma!

He really did! HE LOVED YOU!? Goku screamed as tears started to trail down his own face.

Bulma stared at Goku in stunned awe. Never had Goku yelled at anyone that way before. Never.

Yamcha came downstairs with an alarmed look on his face.

?What happened?!? He asked confused.

Goku wiped the tears from his face with the back of his hand.

?I hope you cherish those memories?because you?ll never experience them again??

Goku whispered as he ran out of the living room and took off outside in a blur of red ki.

Bulma sank to her knees finally letting the realization of what she had done sink in.

?Oh Kami?? She whispered.
