Note: Firefly here, this is my first try at a crossover fic so be nice and review please. It?s a dark/sad/romance fic between one of my two-fave anime characters. Vegeta and Usagi. Please read and review. Thanx. P.S. It WILL get sad.

Prologue

It was a truly spectacular sight. The full moon loomed in the sky. A ghostly glow of white emitted from it, making the busy city of Tokyo sparkle beneath it. Usagi stared out her window as the cool night wind blew against her face. She inhaled deeply and sighed.

It had to be her hadn?t it? She had to be the moon princess and the holder of the silver crystal, and she had to marry Prince Endymion and rule the moon in peace and happiness.

The future depended on it.

Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion.

Said to be a match made in Heaven and above.

Instead it felt like a barren in her life. Blocking her from her true reality.

Yes, Darien was fine to her; he even told her he loved her. She had said the same, but didn?t mean it. It was her destiny to be with him. She had to fulfill it, though it caused her great pain.

It made her pure heart hurt and ache from false reality. She knew she didn?t truly love him. At the same time they were meant to be together and not to be. There had to be someone else. Someone far away?someone whose heart ached as much as hers did?.

Vegeta sat at the edge of an enormous cliff, staring off into the starry night sky. Another defeat from Kakarot. Even though it was just a mere spar, it felt like being exposed to the greatest shame possible. His life was filled with pain and pride. His home planet destroyed. His entire race eliminated. The title of being the Prince of all Saiyans didn?t matter anymore.

He had thought of taking his own life before he met her. Bulma Briefs.

The human had changed his life. She had given him a new reason to live.

She was his only link to happiness. But it was still far out of reach. He treated her like she was nothing, only because his pride refused to show any real emotion. Except during the time Frieza had killed him. He stood up and with a burst of light he took off towards Capsule Corp.

He landed after a few minutes and opened the front door thinking he was safe at last from his misery.

But was in for a shock that could overcome any pain?and destroy his will to live?
