Awards

22. Awards, Certificate Seals, Trophies and Scholarships are given to encourage and assist performers in the pursuit of further excellence in the performing arts. To merit these awards performers must reach a standard of accomplishment satisfactory to the adjudicators, whose decisions are final.

23. To be eligible for an award, a performer must participate in at least two solo classes of a discipline.  In Piano and String Classes, one of the selections must be from the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts OFFICIAL SELECTION LIST. In Percussion, Woodwinds, Brass and Vocal Classes, one of the selections must be from a recognised syllabus, (please see page 17). The performer's two top assessments of 85% and over will be averaged for the first and second overall awards for the junior, intermediate and senior sections of each discipline. All other awards are earned with the highest assessment for the pertinent class or classes.

24. Adjudication will be given to each performer at the conclusion of each adjudicated session.

25. Performers’ assessments will be made available to them after the adjudication of the class.

The British Columbia Association Of Performing Arts Festivals
