Preamble



FESTIVAL DATES: March 31st - April 10th, 2003
ENTRY DEADLINE: January 24, 2003



1. Syllabi can be picked up at Coast Books, (lower Gibsons), Sew Much More, (upper Gibsons), Books and Stuff in the Trail Bay Mall, (Sechelt), and Sunny’s Hair Boutique, (Madeira Park).  For further information call Dorothy Fraser, president, at (604) 885-7637 or Carolynn Cordsen, vice-president, at (604) 886-0279.

2. The Official Entry Form can be found on the middle page of each Syllabus. Please photocopy as many entry forms as you require, as each entry must be on a separate form. Note, where two or more performers are entering a class together, only one entry form is required.

3. Entry fees are; Junior Classes: $8.00, Intermediate Classes: $10.00, Senior and Open Classes: $12.00, Groups of 2 or more: $16.00.  Fees must be paid by one cheque or money order. Changes of selection or TBA's will not be allowed.

4. Fill in the entry form as completely as possible. Teachers are responsible for putting selections in the right category and in the correct grade or age level. The Festival Board reserves the right to disqualify any entry form which is not completely, correctly and legibly filled out.

5. PHOTOCOPYING:  Photocopying of copyright music for the purpose of performance is illegal.  No photocopies or computer-generated copies will be allowed in this Festival in any case whatsoever, unless they show legal authorisation by the publisher or composer.  Using photocopies or computer-generated copies will result in disqualification.  Please note that this applies to accompanists also; please use page-turners, if required.

6. Please return trophies and covers in the condition received by March 1st, 2003 to Suncoast Trophies 5651 Cowrie Street, Sechelt.  If you do not have the cover please let the Board know by phone by March 1st.
