The Victory Super13s League RULES

AT THE VICTORY, STAPLEFIELD

It was agreed that the players would probably prefer an amended "Premiership One format" as follows:

4 points for the winning side

2 points for a draw

1 point for the losing side

An additional point will be awarded to a side scoring 4 tries or more [3 tries or more in a 15 minute triangular game {amended 15 July}]. This point is awarded to both sides if they each score 4 [3] tries but there is a maximum of 1 point per side and the scoring of 8 [6] tries does not result in a further point.

[See below re game cancellation]

It was agreed that once a side obtained a 40 point lead (differential) the game would be concluded.

To be flexible and discussed by coaches prior to the games commencement.

25 minutes each way maximum and 15 minutes each way for a triangular.

Unlimited "rolling" substitution to be used. It is acceptable to return a substituted player to the pitch

A sin bin with a maximum of up to 10 minutes will be introduced and this period will be used by the coach of the player to ensure that he is fully aware of the reason why he was sent off.

If a game has to be cancelled then every effort should be made to re-arrange the fixture. If possible other Clubs will try to help if inclement weather/foot and mouth etc. makes one club’s pitches unplayable for any length of time. If impossible to play the fixture then 2 points will be allocated to each of the non-playing sides.

Mark Kinsella mark@thekinsellas.co.uk will manage a Victory Super 13 web site to show fixtures, results, league table. Coaches were asked to email their fixtures to Mark.

The result of a match should be agreed by each coach at the end of the game and the home team coach is to be responsible for emailing the result to the designated address. Where the home coach cannot do this then he will advise away team coach who will assume the responsibility.

A coaches get together will be arranged in January 2002 to compare notes and to consider an end of season get together / presentation.
