JANUARY 22, 2001: Finally, we're back on track with the first site update in almost three months. As you can see from reading below, a lot has happened to me. But, fear not 'Chum fans ... I have so much new material already drawn and set to be posted on the site, that it should be easy get everything back to normal, once I re-acclimate myself to my older (and much slower) computer here back home. Anyways, I hope you'll take a gander at the Latest strip! I'd also like to thank you loyal readers for your patience. Things should return to a semblance of regularity around here, as I get the strip back to its weekly schedule. |

JANUARY 19, 2001: The first sad news of the year: First State Comics, the comic shop that got me started as an artist closed. This was hard news for me to take. The shop's owner, my friend Mike, gave me my first paying art job ... painting Avengers and X-Men characters on his window. He also helped me get my internship with Valiant Comics; he was the first person to put Superchum strips on the web, giving me space on his shop's website long before I knew how to make web pages of my own; and the shop was the place where I had my first signing once Superchum the comic book was published. I wish Mike, Jake and everyone the best of luck in the future. And I will sorely miss the shop. It was my comics HOME for the past 10 years. And I think we all know good comic shops are really hard to come by.

DECEMBER, 2000: After handing in my resignation, I faced the daunting task of moving back to the other side of the world. So, Superchum remained on the back burner, as I packed, shipped and sold my sparse belongings from Hong Kong. My last day in Hong Kong was December 21. I made it home just in time for Christmas. And what a Christmas it was. It's been very good to be back home in the United States. So many things are different. It's been an amazing few weeks.

NOVEMBER, 2000: Things just weren't working out in Hong Kong. So I decided to leave my job, and come home. While wrestling with this big, life-changing decision, I ended up neglecting the web site for awhile, falling way behind. I then got an assignment at work that actually utilitzed my skills properly. The first, and only such assignment in the year 2000. That ate up the rest of November, and left Superchum and his mighty Befrienders totally neglected.

OCTOBER 24, 2000: It's DOUBLESHOT TUESDAY! To make up for missing my deadline last week, I'm giving all you loyal 'Chum fans a double dose of Superchum this week! You'll find two new epsiodes in the LATEST portion of the site, or you can merely surft them via the new, and easy to use ARCHIVE. They're tucked into their proper slots as Episode 14 and Episode 15. As far as the story goes ... Superchum's quest for a Superhero HQ that suits the Mighty Befrienders' needs brings him into contact with the stranger side of the real estate business in Suburbs. Get ready for a trip down memory lane, as you find out the answer to the question, "What ever happened to all those old superhero clubhouses?" |

It's NO LIE, 'Chum fans. After about a year-long hiatus, Superchum is back in action! The Adventures of Superchum have been around since 1994, but have never rally found a home. Bouncing from a college newspaper to a now defunct portion of a web-site, to a very limited edition copy of a comic book, to a small-town newspaper in Lansdale, Pa., to a now defunct web-site Superchum just didn't seem to fit anywhere. Then I moved to Hong Kong, and finally had the chance to devote the proper time to Superchum. So, Superchum is back on track, coming at you live and in color, once a week from now till Doomsday! And you get to read each new adventure at the very first original Superchum website, designed by Superchum's own creator!
