Suburbs is an actual place, within the context of Superchum and the Mighty Befrienders. It is an iconic, almost too-good-to-be-true town, based on the American Dream of the Nuclear Family. Basically, it's a utopian collection of neighborhoods and strip malls, where the grass is almost always green, the temperatures are almost always moderately perfect and the people are almost always friendly. At least, that's what the advertisements would have you believe. And that's why Superchum located The Mighty Befrienders there. But, the reality of the situation is that Suburbs is not as it seems. This decay gnaws at the roots of Suburbs' bright sunny foundation, seeking to turn it into another blight of cold, lonely humanity in a world that's filled with towns populated by disillusionment and disenfranchisement.
