‘See The Stars’ is another very, very good audience recording of a Masses Tour. The sound is quite distinct so that you can clearly hear the chimes, backing keyboards, and backing sound effects for each song. Dave had this crowd at the palm of his hands; people yelling, everybody singing, and the Newport Center echoing his every word. As for the second part of ‘See The Stars,’ namely the soundboard Black Celebration concert, this is not exactly what you would expect for a soundboard. Indeed, it is a soundboard–a soundboard transferred onto analog, or tape, perhaps one too many times.
