SS 46.2-100 Virginia Criminal Law and Motor Vehicle Handbook (ISBN 1-882476-01-8)
"Moped" means a conveyance that is either (i) a bicycle-like device with pedals and a helper motor which is rated at no more than two brake horsepower and which produces speeds up to a maximum of thirty miles per hour or (ii) a motorcycle with an engine displacement of 50 cubic centimeters or less and a maximum speed of less than thirty miles per hour. For purposes of Chapter 8 of this title, a moped shall be a vehicle while operated on a highway.

Looks like my little Z fits the ticket perfectly! That means no lights (except at night), helmet, turn signals, insurance, or tags- basically all the laws that cover a bicycle! It costs me all of $0.88 per week to operate and gets me to school in 10 minutes, even in the worst traffic since I can ride beside it and take the bike path.

E-mail me if you have questions or tips.

Check out the rear tire baby!

Well, it finally happened..... I got bored with the leopard print, so I decided to go for something new. I originally intended for this to be a mini model of the 2002 Honda 919, but with the horizontal cylinder it more closely resembles the new Ducati Monster 620s, so I'm going to leave it un-stickered for now and see what the public opinion is. Either way- enjoy.
