It
is the voice of TIZA B. that brings us here, at this moment. A voice
that brings no shame upon those respected for their vocal and musical
talents such as Chaka Khan, Sarah Vaughan and Patti Labelle, to
mention only a few. With the deep richness that must be compared to
that of even Barry White, the smoothness and the depth of feeling as
well as the versatility that she is able to put into her near 4
octaves range, TIZA B. has the oustanding capacity to make you feel
what she feels and see what she sees. She definitely has the voice of
the 21st century !
BUT who is behind the voice? TIZA B., a singer, born
and raised in Michigan, U.S.A.. with a musical background that goes
way back. For as the saying goes, she was singing before she could
talk. Having grown up in musical surroundings (among others, her
mother sang with Al Green in his beginnings), she spent the better
part of her childhood singing at the church with one of the best
pentecostal choirs in Michigan, yes her vocal talent was already on
the right track. But Tiza was not to be held back nor pushed forward by want of a gospel career and sought her musical outlet in musical theater, where her stage attributes were put into evidence. Her
love and activeness in the theater lasted more than twelve years and
ended with her move to Europe, where she has succeded in singing with various bands from Jazz to Funk / Soul.
Now available the smash hits "YOU CAN RUN" co-produced by Duplex and Richard Grey (Compilations "Destination Tubes-Sony" and "Miss Moneypenny's Presents Glamorous Grooves"), "TELL ME MAMA" and "GROOVE IS ON THE ONE" (Royal Flush). She is also currently working on her NEW ALBUM.
Tiza B. can be heard in the last Fashion TV compilation with song "Flying High"
