Woodifield puncture whilst winning, but it was on lap 1 and he didnt lo.k fast enough to hold off Clausy.
2. (re-run)Mark Steel(68.86) Lee Herne, Ritchie Hawkins(f/r) Gary Phelps(fx). 4-2, 9-3, 53-49.
Phelps falls on the second turn and his team mate Herne has no where to go but into his fallen partner,
falling awkwardly on his shoulder. After some treatment the are both up, with Phelps excluded from the
re-run. In the 2nd run Herne gets out in front of Hawkins and manages to hold onto it until Hawkins slides
off on the pits turn. Ritchie re-mounts for the extra point.

Was heading for another tapes to flag 5-1 when Mark Steel lost it going into the second turn of 4th lap and
hit the safety fence, was plenty miffed.

Ondrasik slid off on the first bend and was excluded when perhaps first bend bunching could really have been
a better option. The excluded Ondrasik then lined up 4 the re-run, and had to be moved back into the pits. The
re-run was somewhat processional (my way of saying something other than "Tapes to flag"!!)

Olly misses the gate and is on Harris' exhaust pipe for 4 laps but cant find a way past.
Well this was quite a hammering, 9 5-1's, 5 4-2's and a 3-3 (which was a 5-1 until Steels inexplicable fall)
and a good 9 out of the 15 races being decided by the second bend, it was a fun night for the Swindon fans, and a big
pay night for the riders. Not much else to say, the heat 2 crash was quite frightening, local boy Phelps bent the
frame of his bike and Lee Herne rode the rest of the meeting with a shoulder injury, but that was of little concequence
really. A rare match of low entertainment value at the Abbey.
