3-3, 11-7, 54-54
Moggo rolls into the tapes and goes from 15 yards, Rosco with the gate, fights past Collins
and goes away for a close win, gettin the decision on the line by a fraction, Moggo comes
well off of 15 yards and fights his way past Harrison before losing contol and coming off
on the 2nd bend of last lap.
4.Paul Fry(67.09) Peter Karlsson, Ritchie Hawkins, James Mann
4-2, 15-9, 58-56
Fryer from the gate, looks like a man on a mission, Ritchie gets third but they are all well
spread out by the end.
5.Ray Morton(68.27) Martin Dixon, Alan Mogridge, Lee Smethills
3-3, 18-12, 61-59
Mad Dog and Moggo miss the gate and Moggo cruises round, letting Martin take up the chase,
Morton takes a comfortable win.
6.Claus Kristensen(68.33) Peter Karlsson, Martin Dixon, David McAllan
4-2, 22-14, 65-61
Kristensen with a cracking gate, Karlsson equal but Clausy gets the drive around the outside
and goes on to win, Mad Dog looks to be struggling and doesn't beat McAllan by much.
7.Paul Fry(68.36) Neil Collins, Rusty Harrison, Alun Rossiter
3-3, 25-17, 68-64
Bit of a melee at the gate, Collins leads for 3 laps before he lifts badly on the back
straight of the final lap, allowing Fryer (who looked faster but couldn't pass) through for
the win. On the 3/4th turns Harrison gets a lot of dirt and flies round the outside of Rosco
to grab 3rd on the line.
8.Martin Dixon(68.67) Neil Collins, Ray Morton, Ritchie Hawkins
3-3, 28-20, 71-67
Dicko keeps the double tac at bay with a storming win.
9.Peter Karlsson(68.02) Alan Mogridge, Alun Rossiter, David McAllan

Tapes to flag.
10.Neil Collins(68.71) Claus Kristensen, Rusty Harrison, Martin Dixon
2-4, 33-27, 76-74
Clollins from the gate though Clausy goes hell for leather trying to pass him, Dicko leads
Harrison for 3 laps before going wide on turns 1/2 and letting himthrough on the inside.
11.Paul Fry(68.47) Ray Morton, Alun Rossiter, Lee Smethills
4-2, 37-29, 80-76

12.Alan Mogridge(69.08) Peter Karlsson, Neil Collins, Ritchie Hawkins.
3-3, 40-32, 83-79
Moggo gets out of the gate and drives around the outside of Karlsson to get the win and nullify
the Comets other tac sub.
13.Claus Kristensen(68.58) Ray Morton, Paul Fry, Peter Karlsson
4-2, 44-34, 87-81
Clausy flies from the gate, Fryer comes out of the second bend last and then flies inside
Karlsson and almost past Morton on the 1/2nd bends of lap 2, has to be content with 3rd.
14.Rusty Harrison(69.93) Alun Rossiter, James Mann, Alan Mogridge(fr)
2-4, 46-38, 89-85
Moggo from the gate but slides off on turn 2 of the last lap, turns a 4-2 into a 2-4.
15.Claus Kristensen(69.14) Ray Morton, Ray Morton, Paul Fry.
4-2, 50-40, 93-87
Clausy storms from the gate to take the win and put him on 14 points, Fryer again stuck behind
Morton but it is still enough to put the Robins in the Semis of the KOC!!
Good match, really close even though Worky were a 4 man team, some good racing, Clausy was
great for the Robins and Fryer shouldn't have dropped any points really, Rosco was good but
isnt used to six rides in a meeting i suppose!! Ritchie was disappointing and Moggo and Dicko
looked out of sorts, Moggo probably not recovered from his injury 100%. For the visitors
Collins looked good as expected and Morton was a dependable guest, Karlsson was not as good
as he was on his last visit, the tail end of this Workington side is not impressive, mssrs
Smethills, Mann and McAllan scoring 3 points between them, 2 of those gifted the other was
Mann beating McAllan in heat 2!! Worky top four were impressive but Swindon strength in
depth prevailed
Final Score : Swindon 'Soft Water' Robins - 50 Workington "Harper and Hebson" Comets - 40
