entry:

Well, this another one where I have to talk about things that happened prior. one: was going to be playing n this battle of the bands down in Miami. The winner was to get a million dollar contract with bodog recordings. So, I figured, it's a long drive, but I wanna be able to go down there and help our town heroes/friends make it. So, Kevin, the bassist stopped by my house one day and gave me two tickets. What happens next? They had to pull out of the show because Muk's dad died of cancer. FUCK. I never met my dad, I can't imagine what it's like to loose one. So, The Mojo Room is open in PSL now. I didn't bother going to the grand opening because it was AUTHORITY ZERO and SMILE EMPTY SOUL. I don't like those bands. So, John Cuilla, my old mentor/favorite club manager/ neighbor buddy decided he'd celebrate his birthday playing a show for his own band for his own club, and the tickets for the bodog battle of the bands are valid for it. So, That day came and it went something like this. I woke up at Chris Golding's house. He was down for the winter break. Me and Dan had spent the night there. Well, actually we spent the past two nights there and Anna spent the night before that with me there. Anyways, back to what I was saying. I woke up and walked home. Brian came to pick me up and we went to WAL*MART in Jupiter where I could spend some quality with Anna before she went to rehab. It was a hard time. We couldn't kiss without crying. So, when that was taken care of, Brian took me home. I got a shower. Night time came. Chris dropped  Dan off at my house. Trevor pulled up in my driveway with his girlfriend. We all hung out there for a while until Christina got off work. We all hopped in the car and went to pick up Christina from her house. We got her. We drove up to Port St. Lucie. We listened to coal chamber and chimaira the whole time. Everyone in the car was silent except me and Dan were talking about serious emotional stuff and I'm pretty sure everyone was listening, but who gives a fuck, right? We finally got there. Parked. Did I mention before The Mojo Room used to be a Wallgreens? Lots of parking space, YAY! So, I ran into Lisa, John's wife on the way in. The last time I went in this thing, it was under construction. We walk in and Dan is like "Dude, this place is bitchin," and it was. It's fucking massive. It's just one massive ass indoor club with the biggest bars I've ever seen at a club. They had neon lights all around them and shit. There was blue spotlights moving all over the place. There were really hot beer poring gogo chicks walkin on the bars all night flirtin with ugly guys and porin drinks. There's big screens on the walls playin music videos. All I can think is good work on this one, John, who is no where to be seen. We ran into Robby and his friend Drew. Then We ran into Vitto, Kwazie, Josh Strode, and Zakk Strode. Vitto told me he quit that day. Fuck, man. I hated how there was a million chicks there that reminded me of Anna. AM CONSPIRACY dropped off the bill. So, this band I've never heard of called Tripwire got on. Forty- five seconds and Robby walks away. This was like the shittiest most boring ass alternative band I've heard in a while. After Tripwire, I talked to Sean from Stillkept. Apparently Phil left the band. I guess he just didn't wanna do it anymore. He was everyone's favorite member. He was the hype man (well what else can you do when you're the sampler) for Christ's sake! Oh, well, that sucks. INDORPHINE was supposed to be direct support but they had to cancel because they're on tour with RE:IGNITION and Psychostick. They finally got signed and that is completely bad ass. So, LAST LAUGH filled in and played the second slot with Stillkept as direct support. Anyways, I don't like LAST LAUGH but they're always really good live. A big pit opened up. There were the weirdest people in there too. There were these two giant mountain looking fat guys that would just walk around the pit like Jabba the Hutt and push all these kids that would run at them and they would go flying. Let's not forget that there were these Hispanic wigger kids with corn rows wearing Ozzy and AC/DC shirts on. They did the whole splitting the crowd thing. It wasn't that successful. They did a cover of The Rolling Stone's "Paint it Black" which is soooo original, let me tell you, like that one's never been done before. I guess the best part of their set was when there was a huge circle pit around a pillar and kids were jumping off it and stuff. After them I talked to Kevin. He was saying John was probably in the back hidin cause he's afraid if he comes out everyone will try and buy him a beer or whatever. I would imagine so. Stillkept was fucking bad ass as usual. Me, Robby, Drew, and Dan were hard core dancing periodically though out there set, and everyone in the pit would just stop and look at us like we're crazy. It was so funny. We didn't do it too much though cause it looked like people were getting thrown out for pointless shit. Sean came out on stage wearin some fake alien bug eye goggle shit. It was pretty goofy. So, when one: played, the gang just chilled in the back except me and Christina were up at the bar (not drinking) singins every word to every song. It was bad ass. We listened to NIN on the way home and Dan spent the night at my house.
