entry:

It's been a while since I have updated this thing cause I've been going through some shit. Let's see what I can remember though. It was December 8th. It was in my first semester of college. Now, I love AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, but my real reason for going was to see my old band that I got kicked out of's first real big gig. They picked a new name, Vanquish the Weak. They had about two or three shows prior to this (not counting the one under the name, Cast the Water), where apparently they earned a lot of respect. They should, they're very talented. I guess they played a show at RAY'S and JJ, the current promoter, or someone was like "these guys have to open for AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, and got them on the bill. The line up is like so: James Bean on vocals, Lance on guitar, Jose on bass, Ernesto on guitar, and Josh on drums. So, Ernie and Joey are the only members still in the band that were in when I was. It just so happened that Franky was down for the weakened. He, Eric, and Tim live up in Orlando now for UCF. So, Franky gave me a ride to the show. We parked at Publix and walked the rest of the way. A WHOPPING TWO CENTIMETERS. S, I talked to everyone in the world including the guys from Vanquish the Weak, dread head Tommy, Bobby DeCastro, and Nick Guido and his friends. We wanted to get in free but there was no guest list. So, the place packed out. Vanquish the Weak was really good. In fact they tore that shit up. When they played the last song, I was half expecting my lyrics just cause I'm used to that. It was weird. During their last song, this kid I didn't know till that night, Drew, was dancing. he ran into some kid and the kid pushed him. Drew looked down at his necklace that broke off, shook his head, took off his hoodie, punched the kid twice in the face, and dropped him. Then all I see is Bobby and every kid in the video kicking the kid. So, they both get thrown out and when VTW finishes their last song, Ray gets up on stage and grabs the mic and is like "LISTEN, I DON'T CARE IF YOU GUYS WANNA BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF SOMEONE, JUST DO IT OUT THERE! THIS SHIT IS GETTING WAY TOO OLD! KEEP FIGHTIN IN HERE AND I'LL SHUT THE FUCKIN CLUB DOWN!" and then everyone starts clapping. This is why I don't really go to shows that much any more. I'm so sick of all the drama manifested in this scene, all the crews, and all the kids who think they're cool. This is such bull shit. What happened to the old days, man? After they were done I did a little poll. Bobby didn't like it. Zack Taylor didn't like it because it was too much like AS I LAY DYING. Tommy liked it. Nick Guido didn't like the vocals. Two people said they didn't like the vocals (hah take that fuckers. just kidding. no I really am kidding), but I don't remember who right now. HAVERHILL was alright, but boring as shit. I wasn't exactly in the mood for one long breakdown as an entire set. It was cool though. drowned out was awesome. After drowned out, me and the guys from VTW were talking to the guitarist from AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK. He was tellin us about how good THE FACELESS is. I now know that he was right. It was weird because there was only two official bands. There three local ones opening. So, the first touring band, NIGHTS LIKE THESE was cool as shit. I discovered that Bobby and drew train I guess in Jujitsu. So, I had to tell them about how I'm learnin Mixed Martial Arts from Dan. That place went so fucking nuts during ABRB! DUDE, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK tore that shit up so fuckin much! Jesus Christ, it was sick. Me and Franky went to TACO BELL afterwards. Then we went home.
