So, I'm sitting here writing this paper about Black people being hun in the early twentieth century for my US History class and then Dan Grant calls me and tells me that Alena is coming to take me to see his band do a show. OK. So, I tell my mom she needs to let me skip church the next day to finish my work or else I'll fail a class and her money will go down the drain. So, Alena was instructed to pick up Christina on the way and so she did. They showed up. I got in the car. It was kind of a quiet, awkward ride. The show was in Boca so we went down there. We got lost. Alena used her iPhone to find this bar that the show is at, which is called MURPHY'S. So, we get there. As soon as we walk in we see Dan. Alena and I feel out of place. I like her DIMMU BORGIR shirt. Little Sam is in this band of Dan's as well. I kept making fun of Christina and Sam cause they look the same. I met the other band mates. So, this indie band got on first. They're called LEONE. They're actually not that bad. I still couldn't help but make fun of their bassist who was constantly doing the indie spazing stage presence thing while it looks like he's playing DDR on the tiles. They weren't bad though. After they were done, Dan put money in the jukebox so that we could hear MOTLEY CRUE's "Dr. Feel Good," and my personal favorite crue song "Kick Start My Heart." So, the next band that got was goooooood. They were called mcmanus. They sound just like COMEBACK KID meets RISE AGAINST. So, they play a song and then I just can't help. Me and Sam start dancing and so does Dan and then a whole clearing occurs all these kids are dancing. It was fucking rad. Then I was tired though. The coolest part of the whole fucking thing though was during this one song, ryou could feel there was a 2-step part coming up, and right when it did Dan, Sam, Christina, Me, and the kid next to me all jumped out in a perfect line and started two-stepping at once. It looked pretty sweet. So, those guys were fuckin good. Then our friends in LIVING ARCHITECTURE had to follow that. So they played. When they got on I was like "WHO THE FUCK ARE THESE GUYS!" I yelled things out the whole time. I think everyone was bored. I'm sure it'll sound good when they get a descent recording. It was like progressive indie screamo. It was like hellogoodbye meets Norma Jean. You could tell they were all nervous. Sam's bass string broke or something after the first song, so another band person let him use his bass. The singer tried talking too much. Like "let's be that friendly funny cool band that talks to the audience" kinda thing. So, afterwards, I helped carry Dan's amp out to the van. Then Me, Alena, the band, Christina, Brit, and Tommy Newport's ex-girlfriend were all hanging out by the van. There were some readneck biker dickheads nearby. I called out anal Brit for stealing my iPod. She said "At least you got it back." That's true but if she had given it back herself or if she even apologized it would be fine. I went back in to watch BEFORE WE SLEEP... for a little bit. They were pretty good. They had the singing and the high pitched screaming of screamo but they also had the harcore two-steps and breakdowns. So, everyone decided they were going to go to SONIC, and then get drunk at Zack Miller's and spend the night there. Alena and I were like "Yah, I'll pass. Fuck Anal Brit." So we dipped. The funny part is....me and Alena went to SONIC anyways. They weren't there, so we obviously were there before them. It was soooooooo fucking good. Dude it was so good. Oh God. The ride home wasn't awkward. She dropped me off and then called me at midnight cause I left my wallet in her car. So, she came back with Shannon to drop it off and they were laughing cause I came outside in my blingin boxers to get it.
