Well, let's see now. It was on 6/26/5, Brian Hession's eighteenth birthday birthday might I add, It's too bad he couldn't make it to the show. Anyways, it was during the summer between eleventh and twelfth grade. Once I find out that Alicia is coming with us, I try to find a flower for her but there are none around so I didn't get her one. So me, her, and Alican rode in Danny's car to the show. It was funny cause at every stop light Danny would have to get out and quickly fix something on his ghetto car like a window or a windshield wiper or something. We thought the show was going to be packed out of its ass with a line waiting all the way down Clematis Street all the way passed where SPANKY'S used to be because come on it's darkest fucking hour playing at puny Ray's. Therefore, we got there an hour early, but guees what, there's like no one there. You know what happens next? The same that happens every time I first get to a show at this place. I start talking to Marcus from tomorrow holds forever and his friend who's always wearing a hoodie (I don't know how these kids do it in the summer in South Florida) who's name I don't recall about really funny things at the front of the line (or lack of one) for the next hour or so. It's hot as hell outside because it just finished raining. We talked to the guys from drowned out and they gave us there CDs. The bassist from The Autumn Offering told me he liked my shirt. I see Dimitry, Clar, and two other of their friends so of course I greet Dimitry and Clar. At one point I went over and sat by Alicia and she scratched my head and it was nice. I saw her smoke a cigarette even though she told me that she quit be cause of... well.... if you don't know I'm not gonna say it, but you do know....well yah. Eventually the doors open. Empire was supposed to be the local band opening but they dropped off the bill, so the slot was offered to my friends in Bloodsoaked Glory, but their new drummer Nate just went to Montana, so the slot was then offered to my friends in tomorrow holds forever but Monty and Chudi went to Daytona, so there was no local act opening. It would have been cool to see my friends open for an official show but oh well. The Autumn Offering was on first and they kicked ass. They all have hair as long as mine, which is cool. Everyone in the pit/dance opening whatever was just joking around which was really funny. SINCEBYMAN was on next. Their singer was really cool cause he wore this ripped up white tank top with a pink sun on it, and when they hit the stage he was like "West Palm, what's gonna happen next, I mean, what's gonna happen next," and then they broke into their first song. it was crazy cause with in the first five seconds of their first song the sing just runs into the audience with mike stand screaming in everyone's face and he did it at random moments throughout their hole set. The dance floor was even funnier now. We had one guy doing the worm while another guy was pretending to reel him in as if he was a fish. So at one point, their was a fight over on the other side of the room. SINCEBYMAN stops playing and the singer's like "No, no, no, stop, we won't have that shit here, take that shit outside," and he kicks someone. I see a bunch of people go outside. I din't think much of it, cause every hard core show I've been to there has been a fight. After SINCEBYMAN though, I hear a bunch of guys talkin about how they just tore up these four kids outside. No big deal right? Wrong. Danny Ryan comes over to me and sais he's sorry but he and his friends had to beat up Dimitry and them. When I asked why, he said because Dimitry was taking advantage of one of the guys's girlfriends. All of a sudden, I felt really bad for telling Dimitry about the show. Somehow I felt like I cause him getting beaten up, like if I didn't tell him about it that wouldn't happen. Then again he was taking advantage of a girl so it's his fault I guess, but I didn't really see what happened so I have no room to talk. darkest hour tore that shit up mother fucker! It was really funny because they were really nice and friendly. They would say really stupid stuff in between songs like "Yesterday, we were in Daytona, and we were harassing people like it was Spring Break. Since Florida is the place for Spring Break, we think it should be Spring Break everyday. So, West Palm, everyday harass people as if it's Spring Break, and right now, I wanna see Spring Break on the stage." Everyone was pretty much going crazy. The funniest thing I've ever seen was a guy in the pit on his hands and knees so people could run up and jup off his back crowd surf up to the stage and sing along. It was funny shit. This was the only band where there was real hardcore dancing. After they were done, everyone cheered for one more song but they wouldn't give us one. So, we all went home.
