entry:

This show took place on 4/1/5, April Fool's Day. It was in the second semester of eleventh grade. Now see, the show got kinda mixed up. It was supposed to be at SPANKY'S, but SPANKY'S had to shut down because their roof was unsafe. So, for all those hardcore kids that were laughing at me when THE KELSEY CLUB shut down, this me laughing at you.... AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAAH. So they had to move the show across the street to Ray's. Dude, Ray's sucks. It's very small and their sound system isn't that great. Since it was at Ray's, they had to stop letting people in after 250 people had entered. The tour was the tour of eulogy recordings and HAND OF HOPE records. Now, there were three very unique things going this night. 1. There's a girl in the hard core scene of West Palm Beach that goes to Inlet Grove named Brittany (I think she's the one that always tells me to cut my hair). She is going to be on MTV's MADE. Since they are filming around the time of this show, she decided to bring the camera crew to the show and film it. 2. The show was being filmed to be put on the eulogy/HAND OF HOPE records DVD. 3. The color blinds were filming the show and putting on the next volume of THE DIRTY SOUTH. THE DIRTY SOUTH is just like the BOSTON BEAT DOWN volumes except for West Palm Beach. It's basically a DVD for all the the fights and mosh pits that occur in the hard core scene of West Palm Beach..... just how BOSTON BEATDOWN is a DVD series for all the the fights and moshpits that occur in the hardcore scene of Boston. So, me and Ryan and B-Ryan get to the show and we walk down to Ray's and I see Bobby, Marcus, Chudi, and some of the other guys at the front of the line so I go and hang with them and pretend that I've been at the front of the line the whole time, while my friends go the back of the line. Haha. As an April Fool's joke, we spread a rumor down the line that there's a 10$ re-entry, and it worked. We're just standing there listening to everyone calling their friends and telling them not to leave the building for anything unless they've got 10$. Then when they finally let everyone in, me, Bobby, Chudi, Marcus, Bryan, & Ryan all stand at the front of the stage. When THE BURNING SEASON plays, the dancing goes crazy and it's only the first band. After that SUMMER'S END played. I've always liked their music but when I saw them I thought they look retarded, but hey that doesn't change the music. No one was doing anything during them except just joking around and stuff. Danny Ryan and some guy were pretending to fight. After that I gave Danyel a hug. Then I decide to sit on the couch with Ryan. For the rest of the night I stayed on the couch with him. Whenever a band would play, we stood on top of the couch where we could see the band and the floor/pit whatever the hell you wanna call it. THE WARRIORS cancelled, so they didn't play. So when DONNYBROOK! got on that floor opened up and this was the part of the show where the party really started. There was already a fight during their first song. The singer was black. That's a first. I've never seen a tough guy band with a black singer. After their first song he was like "We're DONNYBROOK! and if you like us, cool. If you don't, I don't give a fuck." He pointed to the camera that was next to him and was like "Smile, cause you're going to be on TV." and some guy in the crowd wa like "Fuck MTV!" and then the singer was like "Shut up you faggot" and everyone was like "oooooooooooo." I guess, like me, he's anti-anti-stuff cause that's just stupid. Have respect for everyone you fucking retards, you don't have to express yourself to the world, cause no one really gives a shit. After their second song the singer was like, "Kids, I have a lot of respect for the straight edge kids, but hardcore is not just about straight edge, so this next song is for all of us who actually do party up." Then they played 2 songs after that and finished. Oh, I forgot to mention that Ray's said that the show had to end by 10:30 so all bands only got to play like 4 songs. Bands played a little out of order again, so CASEY JONES got on next. They tore that mother fucking place apart. When they played, the whole place was moving and singing. The first thing the singer said after their first song was "For all you people that are smoking that weird shit, please stop cause there are kids here who don't that shit in their bodies" and there must have been a lot of straight edge kids there cause the whole place started cheering and clapping. Hearing the entire place sing the words to their straight edge songs made me so proud to be drug free for once. After they finished, KIDS LIKE US got got on and it was the same fucking deal. Kids dancing and jumping on top of each other to sing into the mike. After they played there was another fight, this time with people I knew. See, a lot of kids were mad at Brittany for bringing MTV, because they wanna keep this whole thing underground. So some girl was talkin shit to Brittany. Then Rose started standing up for Brittany and was talkin shit back. And then she was all like "I hoper you know who the fuck you're talking to. Do you know my fuckin name?" and th gril was like "no" and Rose was like "wel my name is fuck Rose, and you don't fuckin forget it" or something like that and then she punched the girl in the face. So the girl's boyfriend came over and punched Rose. So then Alican went fuckin berserk and started punching the guy and screaming at him all like "you don't hit girls you fucking pussie!" So then a color blind got in between them and yelled, and then Alican was like "He hit a girl!" so the color blind just looked pissed and grabbed the guy by the neck and took him outside. Everyone started clapping. He bitch slapped the guy out there. For some odd reason, they decided to have UNTIL THE END headline. They didn't headline anywhere else on the tour. I guess it's just because they're from South Florida, so they got bumped up a spot at our show. So Evergreen Terrace got on next. That place went even more insane than it did for the rest of the bands. Instead of that whole in the front of the crowd where everyone was "dancing", there was a long trench in the crowd where people were dancing and pitting or whatever. The first song played was one off of BURIED ALIVE BY TIME. They played Dog Fight. Then they played Sweet Nothings Gone Forever which is one of the only song's they played that I know all the words to. Then they did 2 more songs. Then they covered Zero by Smashing Pumpkins, obviously I knew the words to that one. Then they played No Donnie. Then they finished with some song off the next album. We had to leave after Evergreen Terrace because all 3 of us seriously felt like we were going to pass out. Since the venue was so small and there were so many people, the place was just hotter than a mother fucker. Seriously, I was soaked in sweat, even my fucking clothes were soaked. I had to use a flyer to fan myself down by the time KIDS LIKE US was on the flyer had practically dissolved from the sweat of my hand. So, staying for UNTIL THE END wasn't worth the heat. We saw who we came to see and we had to get out of there. Once we got outside it felt like it was freezing, when in actuality it was normal South Floridian hot weather, but we were just freezing from all fact there's a breeze outside and we were soaked in sweat. So, we get in Ryan's car and we go to Publix so we can all get something to drink (for me the Finch drink of course Mountain Dew). So we go back to Ryan's car and guess what.....he accidentally locked us out. So we had to call AAA to come fix the problem which it took them an hour to get their personnel there. SO in the meantime we just sat on a bench and talked about hardcore dancing, movies, & parents.
