Do you have any idea how long and how much I had been pumped up for this show? This is another one of those shows (just like that Jägermaester show) which I must have just been too pumped up and overrated it before it happened because of the fact that it had such a good line up. So anyways, anxious days pass by until the day for the STRHESS TOUR finally comes. I walk to Brian's house. Dimitry drives over to pick us up. We get in the car. Then we go to pick up Hanz, good old buddy from freshman year lunch. Then we went to go pick up Clar. Then we hit I95 and head down to Ft. Lauderdale. On the way we listened to from Autum to Ashes, HIMSA, Avenged Sevenfold, and ARCH ENEMY. We get to Ft. Lauderdale and eat at WENDY'S (what else is new?). Then we got to the CULTURE ROOM. We make new friends with this guy named Alex and these two people from West Palm who claimed to have seen before at THE KELSEY CLUB. Then I run into my good friends Harvey, Mike, Matt, Danielle, Chelsea, and Monty. The show starts and for some gay reason, HIMSA opened. They should have come on later so that HIMSA could EAT KIDS! So they played first anyways and no one really did anything. Then Florida heroes, REMEMBERING NEVER, came on and everyone sang the words to their songs which aren't worth singing in my opinion. I sat on the balcony during their set. Did I mention the place was just as crowded as the MUSHROOMHEAD show? In other words, it was packed out of its ass. The next two bands were my favorites on the bill, and just as I expected, they did better then anyone else. AS I LAY DYING played and I watched them from the balcony and yes, they, did put on an amazing performance, but once again, the only thing the crowd was doing was singing the words to the songs with their horns in the air. I made friends with thisguy named Trevor. Then golden moment occurred. SHADOWS FALL came on. They were the only band that did absolutely phenomenal that night, and they were the only band to have a pit. They did so fucking well, so much then at Ozzfest. Brian Fair went ape shit all over the stage. I knew all their songs except the new ones of course. So after the show me, Dimitry, Hanz, Clar, Brian, Alex, Trevor, and the two people from West Palm who claim to know me went to Denny's. Clar pissed all over the sink in the bathroom. Then we went home to West Palm. I didn't sleep that night for some reason.
