entry:

Let see, how do I start this off. THIS WAS THE BEST SHOW THE KELSEY CLUB HAS EVER HAD. It was on 10/23/4. I had been waiting for this for about a month or two and thank God it actually turned out to be even better than I thought. This was great, because UNEARTH has always been my second favorite hard core band. Let's rewind about three days before the show happened, ok? I came home from school and  was informed that THE KELSEY CLUB is going to be shut down by the demand of the government of Lake Park. I was informed that it is going to happen on 11/6. So, we have about three weeks. I cried my ass off. This place means everything to me. So this would be one of the last shows at THE KELSEY CLUB before it shuts down. Also, this would make up partially for me missing Ozzfest 2004 (well, at least for missing UNEARTH at Ozzfest). You see, the West Palm showing of Ozzfest 2004 got cancelled because of Hurricane Frances. Since West Palm was the last leg of the tour, all the bands just when on their own tours after that and they didn't reschedule the show. Just listen to how bad ass it would have been: Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, SLAYER, DIMMU BORGIR, Superjoint Ritual, Black Label Society, SlipKnoT, hatebreed, lamb of god, ATREYU, BLEEDING THROUGH, LACUNA COIL, EVERY TIME I DIE, UNEARTH, GOD FORBID, OTEP, Devil Driver, Throwdown, MAGNA-FI, & darkest hour. So Chris's mom takes us there an hour early and there's already a line half a mile long. There was about ten extra security guards there that night. One of them was from THE FACTORY. The band's played a little out of order again. The Black Dahlia Murder came on first. They were bad ass. All three of us were up in the front (and we were up in the front all night long). The singer was all like "How you guys doin? Relaxin? Having a tea party?" Then REMEMBERING NEVER got on. They opened with this old surfing song and then all of a sudden they hit this heavy note and played this heavy beginning riff. Then the music stops and the singer jumps up and says "We're REMEMBERING NEVER and we're from South fucking Florida!" Then the pits opened like a mother fucker. After they played their first song, they played GRENADE IN MOUTH TRAGEDY, followed by INCISIONS, and ended with FOR THE LOVE OF FICTION. During their set the filmed us for the upcoming DVD they were making and for a South Florida music documentary. They told us this was the best show they ever played in Florida. After that TERROR got on ripped that fucking place apart. They just about the same opening that REMEMBERING NEVER did except when the music stopped the singer said "We're a band from Los Angeles called TERROR! I DON'T CARE HOW FUCKING PRETTY THIS VENUE LOOKS! TEAR THIS MOTHER FUCKER DOWN!" and he would just say stupid, violent intimidating things like that in between every song. He pounded my fist which was really cool. When the curtains opened for UNEARTH, they weren't there. Then this techno music started playing and these lights started pointing everywhere, then they jumped out of no where and tore that place apart. I was so happy I was going crazy. There was one part where the singer would lean over the audience and I smacked his ass three times in a row. It was very funny. During ENDLESS, I stood up on the barriers and threw my fists in the air and started singing the words but then I fell and people caught me and I began to crowd surf. So, that was amazing. During BLACK HEARTS SHALL RAIN the singer put the mike up to my face and I sang part of the song. I was headbanging through their whole set and people wre getting slaughtered in the pits. After the show I saw Elise and she gave me and CHris hugs and she was like "Oh my God, you guys have grown up so much. Why are you guys so much taller than me now?" and that made me happy.
