Yes at the Reading Festival of 1992 the audience started to throw mud balls at them, but instead of just walk out of stage, the band throw back some mud balls until Marks tell to the crowd that if they didn’t stop throwing mud they will stop playing, of course the audience didn’t stop so the band just played “Touch Me I’m Sick” and then walk away.

3.8.-What is Self-Pollution Radio?

Self-Pollution Radio was free radio broadcast organized by Pearl Jam and hosted by Eddie Vedder. The show took place on January 8th 1995 in Seattle at a house owned by Eddie Vedder and consisted of live performances by Pearl Jam, The Fastbacks, Mudhoney, Mad Season and Soundgarden, interviews, messages, and songs from records picked by Eddie. The Mudhoney live set consisted of 3 songs: Judgment, Rage, Retribution and Thyme, Generation Spokesmodel and What Moves The Heart?. Also there was a message from Matt, and Steve talked briefly about Dave Grohl. In a September 2001 Pearl Jam article by Spin, Steve said this about Self-Pollution Radio: “The first PJ pirate radio show was at this practice place that they had, it was this dilapidated house along the side of a small freeway. And it was just this boarded up house that looked like it was condemned. It was like a punk-rock house party. A million dollars worth of gear broadcasting from it. There were a few kegs outside, kind of the immediate circle of friends, the Seattle scene people were there. It was just really fun. I wish more things like that happened where I could see a lot of these people on a regular basis.”.

3.9.-What is Monkeywrench Radio?

Monkeywrench Radio was another radio show organized by Pearl Jam, this one on January 31st 1998. The format was almost the same as Self-Pollution Radio and this time the live performances were by Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, Zeke, Tuatuara, Brad and Hovercraft. This time Mudhoney played 4 songs: Editions Of You, Oblivion, Real Low Vibe and I Have To Laugh. Steve also talked about Super Electro Sound Recordings and the Seattle rock from the 60’s and played songs by the Sonics, The Wellwater Conspiracy and The Kent 3.

3.10.-Why did they opened for Pearl Jam?

Because, first of all they’re friends and second they pay them very well and the band got the chance to play for bigger audiences and travel to such places like Hawai, Philippines and Thailand.

3.11.-Did the band ever played with Nirvana?

Yes, they played many times together, sometimes opening and other times headlining. For example: Mudhoney headlined the show in London with TAD and Nirvana, then Nirvana headlined the Paramount Theater Show on Halloween 1991, and Nirvana appeared unannounced opening for Mudhoney at The Crocodile Café in October 1992, they also played together at Reading Festival both 1991 and 1992.
