My Brother The Cow was Mudhoney's second major label album. It was recorded in October 1994 at The Ranch (located in the basement of the Store Room Tavern) in Seattle. It was released on March 28, 1995. All of the album artwork was made by Ed Fotheringham and the photographs were taken by Charles Peterson.

Jon Wahl plays the harmonica on "Orange Ball-Peen Hammer". The name of the album was somehow made up by Renestair E.J. (Bloodloss) and he also played Tenor Saxophone on "1995". The untitled track an the end of the album consist on most of the album (1995-What Move The Heart?) played backwards.

The vinyl version included a free 7" single.

Mark Arm: Guitar and Vocals
