At heavens gate

Impatiently waiting

Hating the wait

Time had passed

And there the lord stood

Beside the Heavenly gate

Speak, ruler of good

He did not speak

But had a sadness in his eyes

He raised his head

And finally spoke, with great demise

"I am dissapointed"

"With how you turned away"

"From my goodness and love"

"I would have listened if you only prayed"

"Please God, I can do better"

"Just send me back"

"And next time I come"

I will have made up for all the things I now lack"

The Lord shook his head

Tunred and walked away

I could have been saved

If I took the time to pray

But I did not pray

And He did not give

Another chance

But sent me down

Where fires dance
