SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN

I look out the window,
Hoping for sleet and freezing rain,
While the ringing in my ears,
Reminds me of the throbbing pain,
The pounding in my head, my jaw,
Behind my eyes, oh, the migraine..

I am aware, when i look
At the pile of papers
Resting on my book
Of eight hours of homework
I have an hours worth done,
And look at all the time that took...

Ive got so much left to do
And the vivarin is about to wear off
When your life is a balance
Of caffeine and valium the world is
Fuzzy and soft

Mix it up a little with some random
Intermittent poetry to pass the hours
Where my shoelace isnt the only thing undone
My life and homework accompany the shoelace

Speaking of shoes... i thought of running away
Or killing myself, after today,
To avoid the pain when my grades arrive,
In a tightly sealed envelope before my mothers eyes

Addressed to the parents, of the student prescribed
My valiums wearing off, i'll have to face the words
With a half sober mind. then escape, to a world of dizziness
Where all i can do is pray
For sleet and freezing rain
To delay
School
Life
For just one more day
