We liked to pretend that we were fans at a New Kids concert whenever we watched the guys. To that day, we'd never been so lucky. Each of us had our dreams about what we'd do if we ever met the New Kids, and we put them all in a cardboard box under my organ for safekeeping.  This simple box was what Julie and I had long ago dubbed our 'New Kids Box'.      Inside it were our hopes and dreams in the forms of fan letters and pictures, magazine acticles and songs we'd written.  Alyssa wanted to go marry Jordan Knight and get the hell out of Victor and away from Jackie. Julie wanted to escape her fanatically religous parents and take me to Boston with her one crazy summer so that she could marry Jonathan Knight and I could marry both Joe McIntyre and Kevin and be eternally happy for a change. I, too, dreamed of going to Boston with my babysitter and getting married to my two blue-eyed dreamboats with dark, curly hair.
